Swans being linked to himmleberg in the sun today apparently
Nothing sort of article in reality.

(From Jon Ralph);
Sydney’s determination to be active in the trade market has them registering interest in cross-town swingman Harry Himmelberg.

Himmelberg took a mark of the year contender in the Giants’ round 1 victory over Adelaide but has been used back since the halfway mark of 2022 despite his unerring accuracy as a forward.

GWS is keen to keep him and believes he is seriously considering staying.
But given his free agency status clubs like Adelaide and Sydney will assess his market worth.
The Giants would not match a deal worth well over $700,000, which would also trigger first-round compensation.

Richmond’s first-round pick is already in the Giants’ keeping so if Himmelberg left they would have three top-15 picks in an upcoming superdraft.
But they would far prefer securing Himmelberg given his unique skillset at a club that has much of the salary cap tied up in elite midfielders.

PS There is also mention of Gold Coast's continuing salary cap management and the suggestion that;
Fiorini and Sexton were both due over $500,000 for the 2023 season
Embarrassing/moronic if true.

ffs can't hear any questions, how hard is it for the swans or afl to invest in some decent audio equipment?
I always think that when you have these sorts of interviews. How hard is it to have a place with 5 microphones for questions to be asked.
IT IS NOT THAT HARD.
and yet every year it is the same.

26MAR23: Swans vs Hawthorn Match Reports
How freaking good was that for a win!

SEN's wrap on the game ... spose we should be grateful for the one line

Hawthorn cut too deep, and that’s okay

For a second straight week, Hawthorn have been demolished, this time they stood no chance against Sydney at the SCG going down 118-37.

While no one was expecting much from the Hawks this year - particularly after they lost Ben McEvoy to retirement and traded away Tom Mitchell, Jack Gunston and Jaeger O’Meara - the ugly truth is now being exposed.

The AFL’s youngest and least experienced list is set for a long year, and that may not be a bad thing.

Yes, they clearly cut too deep if they wanted to win games in 2023, but they weren’t going to be a finals side anyway and they’ll now get valuable games into youngsters and potentially land the number one pick.

Looking back at Melbourne last decade, the Hawks will hope to have a similar rebuild and stack themselves with the talent to relaunch.

As for their opponents Sydney … well there’s no sign of any Grand Final hangover.

And once again a Swans win is all about the loser. Sigh.
