Did Frost play down back VD?
Yeah he did
I believe i covered him in my big post. played really well down back and don't believe he was really beaten at marking contest

If grimes is playing in the midfield his afl career is over
AVB, Trenners, Tyson are just 3 more inside mids I'd play before him not considering Bray
If he got those numbers In defence then I'd love to see him replace Garland or Wagner

Just like everyone in our team Dawes playing well is good keeps the pressure from underneath that has us playing well this year

57 inside 50s against 3rd placed Box Hill. That's pretty good. I mean we only just beat them but surely you don't lose too many games going down forward that often. I remember watching Casey struggle to get the ball in there half that many times in a game. Same with the seniors. The change in some of these team stats from the last few years to this year as been pretty astounding. Stats like clearances, inside 50s, disposals, points scored, contested possessions were all categories we were either bottom or near bottom for years. Now we are top or near top in most of those.

Doesn't necessarily mean a whole lot but it still is interesting, to me anyway. Pretty much a completely different team, statistically.

Hey everyone,
Footy back this sunday as Casey take on Port Melbourne at 2pm. This is a huge match for both the development side and senior side since beating Port is seen as a huge achievement and also increasing the gap between first and second place.

Any injury returns for you guys?

Matt Jones and Jay Kennedy-Harris, allegedly. Oliver should be back, but you'd expect him to play seniors.

When you think about how every tall we drafted pre-Taylor, from Lucas Cook to Max King, has spent a lot of time in the D-League - its amazing how this guy has come on. I heard his coach on the radio after draft night, and he said he was shocked anyone picked him up because he's been so injury disrupted. Looking forward to seeing him play AFL when the time is right.

In Taylor we trust

TBF he already has the body of a man where as Watts, Cook, King x2 Gawn, Fitzy, Mcdonalds x2, Weid etc were all stick insects
Makes a bit of a different challenge for the fitness staff. Instead of having to stack weight on like the others, Hulett probably has to work really hard to make sure his speed, agility and endurance get up to standard.

6 goals for the game .. assuming it's a mud pile wherever that's being played
Wasn't as all. Deplorable game of footy. Was always going to open up in the last, Casey were just lucky it opened up there way, had the ball sit perfectly for them a few times but still skills way down, and not much should be taken out of it. They would've copped an almighty spray post game

Dunn went off in the first with a hammy. Hopefully only precautionary, maybe a week or 2 out.

Apparently the boys were very flat all day, and noone was up and about. Translated out onto the field, especially when Dunn was off, team lacked voice out there.

Well we won, so that's a positive. Good teams win even when they're down as a whole (like the Hawks on Saturday).

Sure, but Clarko probably would've given them a spray too. Doubt Plappy would've been happy.

The Weid getting anywhere near an opportunity at senior level?

No
Dawes has just come back into the senior team and Pedo is a better player than weid
I'd be extremely surprised if he played this year with his body size

Gut feeling is Hulett will get a go first. He's got the body to be able to handle it
Have heard he attacks the contest really hard for a kid his size which is great.
I thought Dawes was pretty good on the weekend too.

His size isn't going to automatically rule him out if he's got the form in VFL.

Then again Omac is getting games so anything possible
I've watched him pretty closely because I was guilty of pasting our backmen when they were young who have sinced turned into bloody good players.
Blokes like Frawley and Tmac stunk it up early days with skinny frames, slow decision making and shite disposal.
He's shown enough to suggest he'll make it but he definitely needs a spell in the 2's.
