Don't know why anyone would be considering Bugg? His role is similar to that when he played at GWS.

He mightn't be too bad actually.

In terms of Dream Team, scored 69 and 66 in the first two shorter NAB games, then 82 in the full length last game, which (although I'm making it up) probably averages out to around 80, where as he's averaged about 61 (DT) and 60 (SC) over his first four seasons, so there is certainly a chance of improvement, however it isn't without its risks.

hey guys - thoughts on Salem this year - ? - looks a real talent, hows he shaping up preseason?
I like him and expect he'll improve on his average from last year considering he was injured and had an interrupted preaeason.

This year looks in fantastic shape and one of our most important ball users off half back but I can't pick him with options like Lonegan and Sheridan around the same price.

Think he's playing that tag with license to take the game on thing that we saw both Bernie and JV do last year. That kind of role ends up racking up the touches in a big way.

Hey guys I need to free up some cash and I've found myself tempted to downgrade Parker to Nathan Jones. Am I going crazy or is there value with Nathan Jones at 497k? If he can hit his 2014 form again which I think is possible given his niggling injury last year, I think he could be a fantastic pod.

My biggest concern with N Jones is the emergence of Viney and the new guys Oliver and Brayshaw. Could his role slightly change?

Or should I play it more safe and downgrade my first picked Pod Salem to Sheriden?

We all know how good Nathan Jobes is, and I think he's slightly undervalued at 497k, but I wouldn't say his Supercoach scores reflect his standing in the game.

If you are keen on a Melbourne player, I would look at Viney myself (not that I have him).

Sam Gray and Aaron Hall are around that value and both had big preseasons. Pearce Hanley is there too, and he could be a good POD I reckon.

All that said, I started with Salem in my side, and ended up swapping him for Weitering. I think I'd like to see Salem have a high scoring year before I give him a go at that price.

What's Frost's JS like?

And when can we expect to see Petracca back?

Even if his form is scratchy, I can see us giving Frost a good crack at it. I think he'll be fine for the first 6-8 weeks at a minimum.

I expect to see Petracca somewhere about round 3 or 4. If we pinch a win against GWS in round 1, I can't see us making many changes after the Essendon game in round 2 as we will have a bit of momentum up.

Hey, is the thinking that Oliver is walk up best 22 in your best squad?

Cheers

See how he goes over the first couple of weeks. He had a good NAB but with Brayshaw, Petracca, Lumumba, Stretch (and possibly Grimes, Neal-Bullen or even Trengove) around the cusp of selection over the next couple of weeks he might lose his spot.

He'll probably get the first 3, maybe 4 games, no worries but once guys come back from injury I think he'll be pushed out and be rotated through the side throughout the season.

Many many thanks :rainbow:

Agree with Dory_77.

Even if he keeps showing a strong game, I can't see Roos not resting him at times during the year.

With Brayshaw and Petracca to come into this side, I can see him playing the first 4-6 or so, then being given a spell at Casey.

I'm starting with him in my side.

Just put Jones back in my side, think he's in for a big year.

Need a mid-price forward, but can't bring myself to take Garlett. Think he'll have a quieter year than last.

Anybody else got Kent in there for 232? If he can keep on improving from the first 4 rounds of last year, he'll score plenty. Tends to get involved at the pointy end.

Yeh I have Kent. If he stays fit he will return a profit.

Kent will make you money, but not as much as other options.

Gawn and Oliver are the only good Melbourne options.

Rough on Kennedy at 187, Petracca at 123. Both surer in my eyes than Oliver who may struggle to play 4 quarters

I'm starting with Gawn, B Ken, and Salem as a POD and breakout contender. Also have one Mitch King as a captains loophole.

Love the VDB pick above, couldn't fit him into my side as I think Hall just looked to offer better value in that part of my team structure. I honestly believe VDB could average 90 this season which would make him a great pick.
