Ben mcevoy robbed.

Unlucky, but probably not robbed. His best year by far, but those named ahead of him were certainly worthy. Didn't see all of the other rucks live, but Jacobs was a beast in Adelaide's win over us at the MCG earlier in the year, thwarted us at every turn, and despite a comfortable margin for Crows, I reckon without Jacobs they'd have been in danger of losing that game. Jacobs probably beat McEvoy in both our games, and McEvoy didn't lose many ruck battles this year (and was good outside the ruck too with some very good contested marking). Just an unlucky year, with several dominants rucks going around IMO. Probably didn't help that maybe 3 of his 5 worst games were against the guys that got in ahead of him.

8 adelaide players is a joke. lever, lynch, walker. what the hell?

Worst thing is they hardly had a Geelong 2007 season where they flogged everyone...they won the MP by 2 points and would have lost it had GWS won on Saturday...

joel selwood should not be in there. he was injured for half the season.

duncan and lachie henderson are beyond stiff.

If Henderson is stiff Grundy is more than that.

No issues with the defenders they have picked anyway

Duncan and tuohy unbelievably stiff. I really feel like they've been better than Selwood this year and have stood up in the most important games.

Great call on Jonas, has been massive this year.

Duncan stiffest this year.

He runs hard and long and that is about it.....

Clayton Oliver stiff...

Too much Viagra?

Yeah, very stiff. Lost position to a mouth breathing KPF. Players should be picked in position. Grundy > Rance IMO, but Richmond would have been stiff to drop that one too.

joel selwood should not be in there. he was injured for half the season.

duncan and lachie henderson are beyond stiff.

...I have the weirdest boner right now

Lever, Bont and Selwood most mistifying. Lever just hasn't done enough. Bont had a s**t year compared to people like Macrae. Selwood injured for half the year.

Lever----> Rampe/Grundy
Bont------> Macrae
Selwood------> Oliver

Really hoping Kruezer gets the first ruck but reckon Ryder will get it. Don't remember too many games when kruezer didn't beat his opponent.

Hopefully Docherty gets the nod this year as he should have been in the AA side last year. Probably get overlooked for a midfielder they will name on the HB line

They didnt even win it by 2 points. Tied with geelong and only 2 points in front of GWS and Richmond

That's right, been a long day. It makes it worse- 8 AA's you'd assume a dominating season...

They are hardly Winx like odds for the premiership!

Kreuzer for the AA ruck spot. Geez we're scraping the barrel, and yes before offended blue baggers post, I do know we have average rucks.

Many lols were had at his mere mention in these conversations. Blues fans are a gift.
Love this beauty as well!

Is Taylor Adams unlucky. Thought he had a consistent season

Cotchin also must have just missed.

Bontempelli seems to be there by reputation rather than his 2017 year

Adams probably needs to do it for another season. It's like Merrett last season, selectors usually ask players to back it up.

Oh dear don't tell me you believe he'll actually get in. Squad is about right.
So "Many lols were had at his mere mention in these conversations. Blues fans are a gift." is another way of you saying "I think Kruezer will make the squad?"

Carlton fans consistently stated that Kruezer's name should be thrown in and were laughed at by several including the lol'ing expert that you are. The fact that he made the squad of 40 means all Carlton fans were right to throw his name in.

Will he be selected? There's a real chance he will. I will say Ryder will get the spot because he has also had a tremendous season for a team that is playing finals. I believe swap the team positions and Kruezer will get the nod.

Both Ryder and Kruezer beat Jacobs and hence both should be ahead of him.

Jonas, Scully and Lynch somewhat lucky, I'd prefer Fyfe, Duncan and either Oliver or Cotchin instead (happy to go with Oliver).

Scully is a really weird pick, I think he hasn't been as good as even Ward let alone many other midfielders. Can't see how anyone would see his season as better than Fyfe's. I get the panel probably wanted to include a few giants players to reflect how good they've been this season and a few wingmen to show that they can acknowledge different types of players. But he's a winger who doesn't really kick that many goals (only 14 for the season) or drive it inside 50 (3.5 inside 50s per game, 71st). Brownlow predictor has him netting a grand total of four votes this season.
