Looks to have been injured late too so maybe not.
Re-taped the ankle came back on. Would be surprised if he misses this week after that.

AA team rules I like to live by:
- 7 defenders, or 6 and someone who played their a fair bit (e.g. Yeo). 2-3 of these to be tall.
- 2 KPFs
- 2 small/med forwards. One has to be a traditional crumber.
- 1 ruck
- 1 forward/ruck. Doesn't matter how little rucking they have done, just so long as they are able to give the theoretical chop-out for 5 mins a quarter.
- This leaves 9 mids. The wingers can't be purely inside mids. Anyone named in the forward line has to have kicked lots of goals.
- No more than 3 mids on the bench.

I don't know why people keep putting Martin on the HFF - Martin and Dangerfield are clearly the 2 best midfielders in the game at the moment.

Yes, Martin is damaging when he goes forward, but it isn't as often as people think. He's kicked 19 goals for the year, which is 5 less than Dangerfield - you wouldn't put Danger on a HFF.

FB: Laird, Rance, Howe
HB: Docherty, Hurley, Yeo
M: Kelly, Selwood, Merrett
HF: Zorko, Franklin, Gray
FF: Betts, Cameron, Greene
R: Kreuzer, Dangerfield, Martin

B: Ablett, Walters, T.Mitchell, Daniher

Unlucky: Jacobs, Gaff, JPK, Hibberd, Gibbs, Sloane, McGovern, Oliver, Roberton, Lloyd

There have been some players who have rocketed into AA consideration the last few months. Kreuzer, Gibbs, Jones, Bontempelli, Oliver, Crouch, Kelly and even Gary Ablett must be in consideration. Some sliders in Betts, Sloane, Murphy, Wines and Pendlebury who all started like a house on fire but have dropped off. Houli elevated himself right up there before doing something stupid. Martin and Dangerfield have probably been the best stayers for the season. Some big ball winners that aren't great users of the ball around.

The AA side could look completely different at the half way point that is does at the end of the season which typifies this season really.

Fair call on Martin. I tried hard to put him on-ball. Probably should have tried harder.

On your team I'd probably swap a forward for a defender for team balance.

Another round down and another round where the only two ruckmen to get any coaches votes:

Kreuzer (2)
Ryder (2)

Taking totals to:

Kreuzer - 40
Ryder - 38

Well ahead of any other Ruckman. If picked now, the ruck spot has to go to one of them two.

AFL team of the week rucks:

Gawn
Jacobs
Witts
Martin
Mumford
Jacobs
Kruezer
Grundy
Smith
Kruezer
Bellchambers
Kruezer
Vardy
Kruezer

Kruezer surely framing as the favourite for the AA side.
Another Round they gave it to Kreuzer

Whilst it means jack, the tally so far:

Kreuzer - 5
Jacobs - 2
Rest each - 1

It's beyond stupid that Ryder has not been named once.

Bontempelli?? I wouldn't of thought he'd be close. Media love him but a lot ahead of him IMO.

Why stupid? You have to be the standout ruckman for that round. He could be second or third best most rounds, wouldn't count that against him for a year long award though as it is a weekly team picked by who knows who.

Yeh this Ryder doesn't have to get in the team of the week all season and he could still be the AA ruckman

Also as someone said before. why are people not putting Dusty in their midfields when with Danger he is clearly the best midfielder this season?

Stevie J made the team off about that didn't he? And I dare say Liam Jones is a much, much better player/human than Stevie J.

Only McLeod, Gary Ablett jnr and Nigel Lappin have made the AA team from less than 16 games.

Liam Jones, being vastly superior to all 3, should make it in a canter.

IMG_1981.PNG It's kruezer v Ryder at the moment.
And kruezer is winning at everything except HOs which he is catching up on. Evidenced by his win v the best hit out in he game for number in Jacobs.
