Has she lost a bit of pace ?
She hasn't lost pace at all, as Dory said it's the end of the game too.

She's just not able in any games to get out into space with the way she's being played which frustrates me

Fair enough , i think her best position is a wing , obviously the coach disagrees .

I feel like with only one wing you could name her forward and have her play up on the other wing

Richmond really clogged it up in the second half to their benefit, just like the pies last week. Need to cleaner with the ball in congestion when oppo shuts it down - we did not have a lot of care for the ball at moments in the last.

Meh. Tiges suck. We have the benefit of an easier draw this season which will see us probably finish top 4, but I still don't see us touching Kangas without Purcell. Quite noticeable without her in the guts.

For the record i recall you giving us 'no chance' against brisbane in the grand final.

It's a fair point but like, enjoy the win

I don't recall giving us no chance in that GF. You've got a fair memory you can recall that.

Wasn't an overly enjoyable game today tbf. Couple of nice plays when we got the running game going, but nothing screamed genuine contender to me today. Midfield looks small without Purcell. Our draw unfortunately doesn't see us playing many contenders. No Hawks, no Kangas. I think we will do enough to finish top 4 but everyone looks a fair way off the Kangas. With Purcell, who knows, we might be a chance. But hey, it's just my opinion. Thought Chaplin was excellent today. Hanks looks in career form and Hore always a danger.

Maybe i was wrong with the grand final, it might have been some panic comments.

but idk, we had a job to do today. I get in the mens game we have bad movement and passages of play that deserve scrutiny. But i feel like in todays game we did the job, had good transition, younger players stepping up, hanks stepping up to cover the purcell absence, defence was great. It just annoyed me to as i see it as a negative comment. Yeah i get we're going to run into north melbourne at some point but strange things happen in this game. I'm always a one week at time type person and hate when i think we perform to expectation but it's written off as 'lol oppo are shit this means nothing'. But this is honestly just a me thing because i see it everywhere from here to local footy and it just annoys me. I still thought it was a professional performance

Sorry to blow up at you, i shouldn't have with that reply.

Purcell is my favourite player in the comp. She's awesome. Probably just me being a negative nancy since she went down. Yre, we are doing what we need to, which is winning. I think the Kangas just look so far above it's hard seeing anyone (including us compete) unless at absolute full strength. Purcell IMO takes away a very good big bodied mid which you need against them. I reckon with our draw we are a chance for top 4 maybe even top 2 which will give us a sniff. If Hanks and Hore can continue to dominate and we find a couple to step up then who knows. Garner's injury might give the Kangas some issues if it doesn't come good. Might see a chink in their armour. But sheesh the Purcell injury hurts.

Yeah agree the Purcell out makes it very hard to see us winning the lot. Even with her I'd have North well ahead of everyone else, barring a Homer at the bat style series of misfortunes to Garner, Liddell, Randall, etc.

I enjoy the way the W side play though. Some good transition and run from behind. And fairly young for the most part, especially with the outs, so cool to see the team develop.

The comp is a bit uneven, but seemingly shit teams can pop up with a boilover (Saints v Crows, Blues v Lions). A bit like PF I'm just enjoying a team that can play well and even when challenged find a way to eke out a win like v Collingwood.

Eke. Good word, that.

I just bought a membership for AFLW 2026. I got a nice call from someone called Alicia. I’m surprised I haven’t bought one before. It’s money to the club and might inspire me to go to more games. I like the flexible membership idea too where you can use your own game allocation to take friends along. Plus I might get hit on the head by a golf ball hurled from a helicopter

I really should grab one, i haven't renewed with the guys since covid. I can't get to games as long as they're out at Casey which is frustrating but i see they have a one game membership and i'd really should get it and be a part of it (as well as putting my money where my mouth is)

Huge danger game. But if we are to get close to a GF this season it's a must win.
We've got a string of these banana skin games, west coast next week will be tricky, then Syd, Geelong, Brisbane to finish the year. Will be hard to keep up our form but good to test it.
Port seem pretty hot and cold.

Everything seems grindy against the breeze so far which i expect to turn next quarter, my only issue is that our defenders seem to be very loose at the moment

Port are putting great pressure on, but we are serving none back and allowing so much space. Really need to tighten up

But our skills are right off and we don't seem to be coping with the amount of space on the ground for some reason

We honestly look like we've paid no respect to the power in this game
Yeah playing dopey trying to keep the handball game up against a high pressure opponent when we're sloppy. Should play a bit more territory game with the wind especially
