Cry at the idiots who engineered the Judd deal, to find it necessary to “throw in” Kennedy as well.

Pick 3 and 20 was and should have been enough.

Still was a bloody privilege to see Number 4 at CFC …… live. That Swans Prelim … man ….. talk about shoulders ….. much love … but yes I agree that should have sufficed.

Club has moved on from those days I reckon - stood firm and kept #1 instead of tossing at Shiel AND tossed next years first pick for a swap and 19 for Stocker - can't wait to see that handsome piece of mongrel debut.

Do you think so, Mcadam and two second round draft picked for McGovern, was way overs, we haven’t learnt anything, we are way too soft a touch at the trade table.

Picked up Gibbons and the red headed bloke - who knew both Doch and Pickett were going to cop season ending injuries and Byrne wouldn't be coming back?
You need to let go of the past- ugly as it has been - McGovern will be huge for us - there is no harsher critic than me and I'm pretty relaxed about what the side can do in 2019.

No its just a potshot with no credibility to it...but thats your right of course..and mine to oppose it.

A potshot? I did watch his career as well. His kicking was sublime off either leg, his chasing and on field demeanour weren't always first class. Back to the golden testimonial though..

Just think of Hoops with the fitness training we have now in 2019 …. OMG would be EPIC! His below the knees works at pace ... his runs and gather off the deck ….. lace out passes …. balance and poise ….wow

Not having a go at McGovern, just the price we paid for him.

We did pay a premium for him, but he's a premium player.
I kind of think it was almost a statement from SOS and Agresta as well, that we may have finished dead last on the ladder this year with only 2 wins and a terrible percentage...but, hey, we're also a destination club, not just the current 'big boys' of the AFL....
If a player of that caliber states that he wishes to come to the club, you can't just turn your back in our present state...and sometimes you have to pay over the odds if they are still contracted.

I saw him as a more mature body who doesn't mind a big grab - beautiful kicking action and kicks under pressure - perfect more senior bloke to help Charlie and Harry - once the three of them work out the hows and why and wheres - opposition teams can forget any idea of double teaming anyone - great pick up for us and so two seconds I'm fine with - when he kicks his first bag of 4 or 5 everyone will have forgotten the two second rounder 'cost'.

If Murph gets a good block of games 4/5 without injury we'll see how good he is at delivering the ball to our forwards imo..
Take him a few games to get his game going .
be an absolute pure gold bonus if murph plays a big year.............

Like any other contracted player that has xfactor, you have to pay slight overs

I detest giving up multiple picks for players, but essentially 2 × 2nd rounders, is reasonable for a player like MM
Let's not forget the same team gave us 2 x firsts for a 30+yo midfielder the year before.

The priority pick was probably viewed as a bonus last year anyway, so no harm no foul if we lost it. I also reckon McGovern is adding a lot to the team culturally.
