This pretty much happened last night with Best on Ground. You have the thrilling finish to the Melbourne-Carlton match, and a minute later Russell Robertson is singing, followed by Riewoldt and Brown waving their arms around on the couch doing their 'comedy' act, and the sucky Mark Howard previewing boring segments that have absolutely zero relevance to anything.

Obvious 'strategy' by the broadcaster to retain the viewing audience, ala Bounce, hoping that viewers keen to watch the team song and the coaches pressers is enough incentive for people to simply continue watching whatever nonsense follows..?

Each to their own, but I find Bounce and Best on Ground about as entertaining as my last visit to the dentist..! In my view BOG ranks a close 2nd to Fox Footy's other spectacular failure, being the deplorable 'Up the Guts' - which was hosted by possibly the least funniest 'professional comedian' I've ever seen on TV..!

Anyone else disturbed by the fact that Fox footy keep promoting this rich100.com.au website but when you get there you need to pay money to herald sun. How did we get here? Just wrong and misleading on many levels.

Bypass Paywalls browser extension says otherwise ;) but not surprising to push a Herald Sun column AND they just put the price up of their weekend papers too

After Thursday/Friday night games, show us 30 mins of player interviews, coach pressers, highlights and analysis before going to First Crack.

After Saturday night games, show us the same and then put on Saturday Stretch to recap all of the day’s action.

After the final game of the round, go to The Winners for an overview of the round that was - 5-7 mins of highlights from each game.

Would be far cheaper for them to produce than trash like Best on Ground and Bounce, and far more enjoyable.

Love the classic matches over summer should have a regular timeslot during the season too. Fox should also revive something similar to the old winners like the one with Drew Morphet a few years back. Make it themed like an on this round in history football show or something.

Just on Howie Fox have one of the best interviewer Podcasters on their books and how do they utilise him? By putting him on an unfunny toilet humor show.
ffs use his skills and setup an interview show for him to host like open Mike or even an in depth doco series, anything other than listening to lame jokes.

Again this all requires creative intuition so doubt anyone left at Fox has any.

I don't know why in the off season they don't devote a day to each club (random selection of that clubs best wins/biggest matches)- add in Fitzroy and South Melbourne too if enough footage exists and there's almost three weeks of content.
