What Old Spice said.

Agree would not trade opur 1st Rounder 2 years in a Row but I think Swans would most likely want 2nd Rounder + Player for Currie

Think we still need a key forward with 1st pick, whether totally raw or as part of trade for Pav with another player.

Ruck and small forwards with 2/3rd picks.

I agree with you 100% that we need a KPF in the 1st 2 Rounds:thumbsu:

We have a good trading history with Sydney so there shouldnt be any problems if we were after Currie. Id give a 4th round draft pick for him and Sydney should accept that becuase thats what he would be worth. A player who doesnt get a game when Seaby is injured and also Mike Pyke is getting a game ahead of him so i wouldnt give them anything better then a 4rth round draft pick.

As for houli id love him to come to Collingwood he has played well in every AFL he has got this year its just the Knights fault for not playing him. He would bring more pace to the team which is important for us.

I'm on the small/ medium forward on the 1st pick and maybe even 2nd pick.

But KPF 2nd/3rd (one of depending on who is best available at 2nd). Not really fussed. Pretty happy with Cloke + Dawes going forward. Then with JA + L.Brown who can step in our stocks are not as bad as people like to think they are. I'd just add the one depth pick of KPF to replace Rocca + Rusling.

Houli is seriously the Danny Stanley of Essendon.

The problem doesn't lie with Knights, just as it didn't lie with Malthouse in Stanley's case.

Still not Sure why we need to go Small/Medium as we already have a Ton of those Players

I actually compare Houli to Corrie, don't know if that's worse or just as bad as comparing him to Stanley.

DO NOT TOUCH.:thumbsd:

Yep sounds like a great deal :thumbsu: Would you like us to throw in Vezpremi while we're at it?

By Pav do you mean Matthew Pavlich? Apart from the fact he wouldn't leave Fremantle and if he did he'd go back to South Australia, what exactly would Collingwood have to offer up for him? Your 1st round pick will be worth very little.

Wouldn't give anything less than a 4th rounder to the Swans for Currie. An unproven ruckman that has played how many AFL games? 0 AFL games. Not worth it in my books. Has been around since 2006 as well.

And Jesse White? Don't make me cringe!

I'd think we would need to look at a 3rd round or possibly 2nd for Currie given the introduction of Gold Coast and their 9 picks in the top 15 or whatever it is effectively makes our 1st round a 2nd round in any normal year. He was drafted at pick 49 (3rd round) and they have put 3 years development in him so I reckon we are probably looking at paying similar or overs.

A trade for Goldsack or a 3 way trade involving Wood sounds more preferable to all concerned especially if Wood is being courted by Port.

I think trades for draft picks will be tricky in the next couple of years with GC and WS so clubs will need to be more forthcoming with player swaps or not trade at all.

I agree with this. Although I imagine at the lower end of trades where depth players are being talked about it might be interesting. GC wont be stupid in paying overs for players like Currie. There could be some really interesting later draft picks and depth player trading this year with teams trying to sort out the balance of their lists with the run of compromised drafts. Unfortuntely there will likely be a few sides after ruckman in this draft and I really wouldn't want to trade away too much given what we've spent on that area in the past.

And they got a bunch of 17 year olds as well so it makes it even worse yeah?

No, I mean the other Pav.

I'm not talking 1st rd pick if you read my post properly, but 1st round plus a player for an aged Pav, comprehension Spaz.

What's it worth? Look, don't make the same mistakes as Essendon and Brisbane - thinking they are in fine-tuning mode / immediate striking distance of a flag. Freo are still years away, post-Pav years, and would do well to secure the future for a realisitc tilt in 3-4 years.

Our first pick and a decent young defender post-Tarrant would work well for Freo.

Not bagging the Sack as he has shown a bit with limited opportunities but you've got no chance of getting a pick in the low 20's for him.

As for Currie, if you want to hand over your 1st round pick again next year then we might come to the table, otherwise we'll be happy to keep him

I don't know a huge amount about Currie. I just thought that you have enough rucks with Mummy, Seaby, Pyke and even White to cover that area, you may want more speed running out of half back or even on a wing. He can also play key position down back once he puts on a bit more size. Maybe I rate Goldsack too high, but had he completed a full preseason, and not attracted a virus, I would think that he would be in our starting 22 (and dare I say walk straight into your starting 22).

Just turned 23, 193cm 87kg, 48 games, good height, very quick, good skills. Plenty of upside. I hope we can hold onto him, but wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to try elsewhere at the end of the year.

If someone wants to pay 1st round for Currie, good luck to them - but let's be clear about the candidates.

Yes, Hawthorn might want a ruck, but not one that is still some years off best form. Hawthorn want a ready to go ruck for a premiership assault from now on.

Port I can see as a candidate, but they are rebuilding and wont be bent over for Currie. They'd be around the same mark as us in draft offerings, but without the ready to go player trade-bait Sydney require to stay in finals contention.

Meh. Not that vital to us that we will give up anything too high for a mere prospect. Maybe pick up a mid 20s VFL ruck.

Warrick Andronli(Spelling?) is a Player I have Really Liked in the U-18 Champs and I would not mind us Drafting him. Has Great Speed and Can Find the Ball. Bit like Stephan Hill.

He might be around the mark of our 2nd round selection.

Trend has been towards picking Vics in the ND with WA selections mostly as rookies.

Also I'm pretty sure that we will be targeting KPPs and possibly even a ruck so I doubt he will be high on our list.

Darcy Barden from Vic Metro or Tom Lynch from Vic Country would have to be chances.

With the loyalty clubs have in their players. Particularly star players they will not trade Pav. Unlike other sports in the AFL come trade week clubs are mostly unwilling to trade away their best players even if it can be the best decision for them as a club.

Agree KPP would be Great and I would like Either Barden or Lynch.

Do you know who we are looking at?
