Re: Would u trade for any of these players?

Dave, WTF? Seriously??

Muston has about the same trade value as Ryan Cook.

Secondly, Dowler is worth Rusling's left shoulder.

The Hawks have really stuffed up a few first round selections of late i.e. Dowler and Thorp (both pick 6) taken ahead of players such as Ryder, Clark, Higgins, Selwood, Reid, Riewoldt, Tippett etc.

Edited for accuracy

Hmmm, wouldn't be too bad as a depth player. Still young with plenty of time and development left in him.

Glad to see the club trying to get AFL ready young talent with the draft pool looking to be increasingly shallow with GC and GWS raiding it.

A massive hell no to Houli IMO, He has the Ryan Cook tweener curse. He just isn't good enough at anything to have AFL impact.

If Wood is traded or doesn't work out we have a very gapping hole for the medium term ruck future unless a Keeffe or Shae Mac steps up quick time.

Which is why we need to keep Wood ST.

We cannot afford to trade him out because we would be left with minimum options and ruck depth- unless we have somebody else lined up ala a Hampson at Carlton who have many ruck options and perhaps one of their guys will have to go at season's end for more opportunity.

Hopefully Wood comes good because if he doesn't it will hurt in the medium term.

Well you could be Correct about Houli - Those I not sure what you mean with Tweener bit.

What young Ruckman should we go for?

Ahh the Tweener as in In betweener. Handy in a few roles but kind of inbetween all of them and not good enough in general. There versatility seems to be a strength but in reality it's more of a cover for a lack or a real role.

Cook is an outside player who does some nice blocking and hard work around stoppages and may look to be a workhorse who could do the job inside but is not at all good enough outside with his ball use to be an outside player.

From what I have seen of Houli he isn't a good enough user of the ball to be outside, has an ability to sneak foward and goal but could never break into our side in a small foward role. Is a mid who can rack it up but doesn't use it well enough to warrant that role, can kick goals but not good enough to play as a foward, is willing to go when it's his turn but can't play inside. (Mind you I am going off what I have seen which isn't a massive deal) but from what I have seen I would not want him even if it where a direct trade for Corrie.

I think with Frasers decline whether we keep Wood or not we need to get another ruck. Given we are in a premierhsip window preferably one with a few seasons of AFL under his belt that can do a job straight away. As for candidates i'm not sure but Currie and West spring to mind as ones which may be available or maybe take a punt on Stephenson (thats the dudes name I think?).

I do think with Fraser on the Downer, That would mean we need to keep Wood for at least Back-Up

Yeah most likely but I guess theres the concern he'll sook of to Gold Coast. If he does we'd desperately need a ready made back-up. We probably need one anyway with Fraser near the end.

Could Try for Warnock or Hampson from Blues?

That is very Daming there shawthing09

It was supposed to be. I am not saying I think Houli is a worse player just that he is no chance to be in our best 22 and hence as much use as Corrie. So whilst he may be a better player the Corrie he is still as much of a list clogger to us as Corrie is and so I wouldn't trade them because there is no advantage for us and you don't trade for the sake of it.

Then what Kind of players we should look at?

I seen and Agree Ruck in 1 Postion

Don't know how Currie is tracking at Sydney, but post Mummy / Seaby and with White and Pyke in the team, he'd definitely be a prospect worth looking at who might be gettable in 3rd round.

Don't know anything about him other than Goodes was going to pop him in his DT in 09/10, so must have been looking likely for a while.

Did look good in the NAB Cup and as you say not getting a Game even with Seaby Injury.

200cm and can Play CHF as well as Ruck. Would Love to Get him

Will start off as a HBF but is tall enough to play key position once he puts some weight on. Probably settle for a low 20's pick. Has plenty of speed and the ability to be a very good player.

Not sure who at Sydney and could under/oversell both Goldy and Swans' players if I nominated someone. Jesse White? Maybe even Currie and a pick? Like I said I don't really know.

Not bagging the Sack as he has shown a bit with limited opportunities but you've got no chance of getting a pick in the low 20's for him.

As for Currie, if you want to hand over your 1st round pick again next year then we might come to the table, otherwise we'll be happy to keep him

I really like Currie from the very limited games i've seen from him. And Sydney aren't afraid to trade with us. If a late pick or suitable depth player (which I think would appeal to Sydney) could be arranged I think the club would be silly not to look at it.

So you are saying like we Get Currie and let's say a 3rd Rounder for our 1st Round Pick?

Wouldn't be giving away another first round pick this year for the likes of Currie, only reason to give away 1st round pick is for a Pav + player type arrangement.

Currie would be doable for a 3rd round / player trade type arrangement. As Quicky says, Sydney always wanting to stay near the finals might go for a depth player of ours plus a 3rd round.

Using 1st pick for a ruck 3 of last 4 years is not desirable at all.
