Life is cheap in the United States, always has been, always will be.
Never ceases to amaze there’s more guns than people there…
They have a population of 333 million

They have the death penalty that they employ with ever more barbarous methods.

They long ago made the choice that guns are more important than their children's lives.

Their murder rates are astounding, they've been in the grips of a desperate opioid epidemic for nearly two decades but don't have a single safe injecting facility.

Their police murder at will.

Its a broken, racist, violent society.

On repeat. Israel needs to be dismantled, demilitarised, the settlements removed and Netanyahu and every army general sent to the Hague.

Only then can their be peace in Palestine and the middle east.

What’s Irans likely retaliatory action against Israel for the attack in Syria?

Dunno, but doubt its a direct attack on Israel proper, which is what Netanyahu wants.

Does Putin have a tape of Pelosi getting sex workers to piss on a bed?

Interesting if true.

Cements Iran as the regional hegemon, means they bank a massive win from October 7 and can now sit back and spend a few years watching Israeli society tear itself apart.

All while preparing the next attack.

Azov Nazi complains the locals hate them and side with the Russians lolol

Israel's forces have significantly pulled back in Gaza, and Hamas rejected a ceasefire deal this morning.

Probably not a surprise at all, but becoming increasingly evident that every single hostage taken by Hamas is dead.

Both sides know it. Not sure what the end-game is going to be here, but if the hostages are dead then the 'terms' of a ceasefire are difficult to agree upon. Neither side appears to be asking for realistic things.

Details from Al Jazeera:

One key aspect of the proposal involves the return of unarmed displaced civilians to the northern Gaza Strip, although specific numbers were not provided.

Additionally, the proposal calls for Israel to accept the opening of Al-Rashid and Salah Al-Din Streets, with Israeli forces stationed 500 meters away from these areas.

Furthermore, the proposal includes provisions for the daily entry of 500 aid trucks into the Gaza Strip, particularly in the northern region. As part of the first stage of the ceasefire, Israel would release 900 Palestinian prisoners, including 100 individuals serving life sentences. In return, 40 living Israeli prisoners from various categories would be released by the Palestinians.

The second phase of the proposed ceasefire involves the release of all remaining Israeli prisoners and the continuation of negotiations to establish a sustainable calm in the region.

However, specific details regarding the number of Palestinian prisoners to be released in the second phase and Israel's withdrawal were not included in the proposal.

I do like how Al Jazeera refers to the hostages as 'living Israeli prisoners' though.

Didn't Hamas say they couldn't produce 40 of a certain "class" of hostage, humanitarian I think, like sick/elderly/kids etc.

That those folks are all dead is very likely agreed.

I suspect some of the younger stronger and fitter types are probably still alive though and Hamas will want much more for what are effectively captured Israeli military - indeed some were captured at their posts.

Some captured IDF have been held for years before being returned in swaps.

Israel offered 400 captured Hamas soldiers in return for the 40 hostages. Hamas still said no.

Not sure how much 'more' Hamas would be asking for if they actually had alive hostages to trade.

Most likely scenario imho is that the hostages are dead and Hamas will eventually come out and say that Israel blew up the building/s they were being held in. Which is genuinely possible, but also mighty convenient for Hamas' purposes.

Hamas soldiers haha read some more propaganda ffs

Maybe Hamas want the thousands of illegally imprisoned Palestinian children taken before October 7th released or Israel to **** off and never come back.

No ceasefire will hold. Another zionist terrorist Ben Gvir has put paid to that.

I wouldn't take what Israel defines as a "Hamas soldier" on face value given their habit of calling everyone they kill or capture Hamas, including children.

But my point was more to the nitty gritty of the negotiations:

A key issue in the new proposal concerns Israel's demand that Hamas release 40 hostages who are alive, even if some of them do not meet the original criteria for release on humanitarian grounds, two senior Israeli officials said.

  • The first phase of the deal includes the release of women, female soldiers, men over the age of 50 and men under the age of 50 with serious medical conditions.
  • In recent negotiations, Hamas said it does not have 40 living hostages from these categories.

Not sure how much 'more' Hamas would be asking for if they actually had alive hostages to trade.

Israel sets the benchmark on these things.

Hamas got 1027 prisoners released for Gilad Shalit, so by the gruesome market price that seems to be in operation on these things, they can probably get a lot more of their people released if they have even one hostage alive.

I suspect that is true for lots if not all of the "less valuable" hostages, but I reckon the serving IDF, people who held ranks in the reserves etc will have been spirited away out of Gaza very very quickly.

The most high value of them probably didn't even spend the night of October 7 in Gaza and were rapidly smuggled into the Sinai (or even Israel itself ..)

EDIT TO ADD: This stuff is why the IDF has the Hannibal Directive in place. God knows how many Israelis were killed by the IDF on the way back to Gaza.

Not my intention

Nah didn't think so, and you're not the first to get tripped up.

It goes back to classic Nazi imagery thst doesn't need to be reposted here.

Just language that takes away from the argument imo.
