Cook played 253 games, kicked 1210 goals and was a 6 time premiership player for the club and will forever be known as one of the greatest to ever play for the Borough.

I just saw a clip where Fred said North wanted him in 77 but Footscray would't clear him from 12 years earlier!

Fred was an absolute superstar in the VFA, but I doubt he would've gotten much of a look in ahead of the likes of Baker, Blight and Briedis in our '77 team.
Anyway, sad to hear of Fred's passing, he was a larger than life character.
