Brave from the Lions. It's time.

Remind me never to discuss Changing the Date ever again on this forum, least on Bay 13.

So infuriating. Learnt my lesson though,

Anyhow bravo to The Lions, Carlton weren't as brave unfortunately with their statement, part of the problems with having a sizable number of our fanbase conservative/Tories (which probably explains why the club weren't as supportive of our LGBT fans last year during the Pride Round in the men's league)

Casino Royale is great.

Casino Royale was all time good. My favourite Bond film.

Really happy when I saw Mads Mikkelsen in the role of the villain. Really good actor and he plays scary af well.

I know that Javier Bardem is in one of these last few Bonds and he even rivals his ‘No Country For Old Men’ look lol

Skyfall. And yep, he's absolutely fantastic in that as well.

I think Spectre cops an unnecessarily bad wrap.

No time to die is absolute sh*te. Don't waste your time if you haven't seen it.

Thats a shame seeing as it’s the last one with Daniel Craig. And I haven’t seen it of course, so it’s something to look forward to. 😂
Very weak villain.

I know Rami Malek is the villain in this. The only role I’ve seen him in where he plays a bad guy was in a couple of episodes of 24 and he was pretty menacing. Is it his acting or just the writing is shithouse?

As a mark of respect not just to the 1.1m exterminated at Auschwitz, on this the 77th anniversary of its liberation, but to the 6.0m Jews murdered during and before WW2 I am wearing my British Legion Poppy Pin at work today.

What to expect over the coming weeks as kids return to school, based on UK experience (data thanks to Prof Christina Pagel quoted below):
  1. Declining overall cases and hospitalisations.
  2. Steep increases in cases and hospitalisations amongst school aged children and their household contacts.
  3. Steep increases in school absences, with likely impacts on education particularly for disadvantaged kids who don't have the means or the environment to effectively home school.
It was 20-29 year olds driving the wave in Dec/Jan, now it's time for <18 year olds to take the wheel.

Most families will be fine from a health perspective (though there are some families with vulnerable kids and/or grandparents under the same roof that these trends would concern).

The other concern is economic. Some families are fortunate enough to be able to work from home and still derive an income. There are many however who would be financially crippled by the prospect of isolating for 2-4 weeks straight after a child brings COVID home and each sibling (and household contact) are successively infected. For them, the coming weeks may be challenging, and may require some difficult decisions to be made.

There will be no self isolating in the UK from 24th March at the latest so these numbers will change dramatically.

Malek was decent. The plot was shite. As Jatz said, they spent too much time trying to tie up loose ends.
