Goldstein, Jacobs, Brown, Wright and Garner are all carrying injuries over from 2016.
This is not good enough. Seriously the club needs to ******* get its s**t together and get these players fit because its been 5 months since our last game and will be 6 months elapsed if and when they return.

Mmm mickey club

This is all VERY depressing reading...

There's bad luck and then there's bad luck. Really feel that the club has lost the plot in managing many of our long term injured players, as well as prevention injuries for certain body types and players with history. Only a rookie at this stage but shattering news for Junker. Hopefully a clean break and he comes back stronger and fitter.

Lost faith in the time frame on injuries, unless i see them on the field. Yeah they can't always be spot on but they have been way off one to many for mine.
But yeah concerning to say the least.

If the medicos aren't to blame then I'd start to question the professionalism of the players and the way they go about preparing and recovering from each session.

We operate like an EDFL club ffs
It is quite literally impossible to know that unless you are on the inside.

In any case, preparation and recovery can't do anything to mitigate the number or damage of impact or collision injuries.

Paul Ahern (ACL, season): The former Giant was always going to sit out the 2017 season after undergoing two reconstructions of his right knee last year. His rehab program is focused on being ready for day one of the 2018 pre-season.

Jed Anderson (AC joint, 4-6 weeks): Damaged his right shoulder late last month at training and underwent surgery. Won't play in North's JLT Community Series campaign, but is hoping to return – most likely in the VFL – by round one.

Ben Brown (knee, 5 weeks): Had a minor knee operation in late January after landing awkwardly at training. North expects to have him back for its final JLT game against Greater Western Sydney on March 10.

Majak Daw (meniscus tear, 3 weeks): Had surgery after injuring his right knee in a straight-line running drill last month, but has made a speedy recovery and is on track to return in North's second pre-season game, against Hawthorn at Arden St on February 26.

Taylor Garner (hip, 7 weeks): The 2012 draft's No.15 pick did not play a senior game after round three last year and has again battled hip problems this pre-season. Has been increasing the volume and intensity of his running recently, but North won't rush his return.

Todd Goldstein (ankle, 3 weeks): The ruckman has been on restricted duties since returning from the Christmas break, but the Kangaroos are confident he will be back for their pre-season clash with Hawthorn.

Ben Jacobs (foot, 3 weeks): Has been managed conservatively this pre-season as he returns from the fifth metatarsal stress fracture that sidelined him from senior action after round eight last year. Set to return in North's JLT game against the Hawks.

Oscar Junker (broken tibia, 12-16 weeks): The rookie broke his leg after landing awkwardly during North's practice match against VFL affiliate Werribee last Saturday. Expected to return in round seven or eight.

Daniel Nielson (quadriceps, 3 weeks): The third-year key defender has had a stop-start pre-season, but is expected to overcome his latest niggle in time for North's second JLT game.

Jy Simpkin (broken leg, 3 weeks): North's first selection in last year's draft has been treated with kid gloves this summer as he returns from the leg fracture he suffered last April. Expected to be available for the Hawks pre-season game.

Sam Wright (ankles, 5 weeks): Coming off post-season operations on both ankles, the defender recently resumed running outdoors and is expected to return for the final round of the JLT series.

Defender Scott Thompson (adductor) has recovered well from minor surgery in December and should play in an intraclub practice match on Friday. - Nick Bowen

A depressing read when you compare it to some of the other clubs.

Totally agree, absolutely not good enough, from today's clubs injury list North has the highest number injured...11. Something is obviously wrong! in my opinion....bad management, bad conditioning, specially when even pre-season not yet started, at which time there is very likely to be more injuries. Already fearing that North will have (during season) continued highest number of injuries, lowest number of points.

Geez, Benny Jacobs has been a bit stiff copping 5 stress fractures in the metatarsal, we seem to have a knack of getting recurring similar injuries to certain personnel.

It's his 5th metatarsal that's fractured.
Not the fifth fracture.
