The girl I'm seeing at the moment told me some of her guy friends send her pick dics as a joke. She doesn't tell them not to because she finds it funny. Am I being uptight or is this weird as f and kind of inappropriate?

I wouldn't like it if the situation was reversed. I don't think it's a normal thing for friends to do.

Our new building won't have NBN as the area doesn't have it yet. We went into Optus today and they've said that because we are at the back of the building, the technicians can't put ADSL or something in.

They then recommended the 4G modem to us.

My questions I guess are, aside from the opening one, does anybody have any experience with 4G modems, or could they recommend something better?

I would get a second opinion either via the NBN site or even Telstra. I got told lots of stuff prior to getting NBN that was contradictory.

If they are installing fibre to the node in the area they should not need to do anything. They don't even need to come onto your property. That has been the quickest, cheapest and most effective way of getting NBN across the Goulburn Valley and getting 25mbps download compared to 4mbps on Adsl2.

I thought that was the plan for NBN from now on?

Now if it is NBN cable...different story...they have to come inside home...unit...apartment and piss farther around. The installation is tedious...and some of the nightmare stories of cancellations etc are amazing.

Bottom line get a second and third opinion before committing to 4g modem.

gave him a bit of off cut meat yesterday... prick saved part of it to roll around on today

Hmmmm, I like the fact that she was honest with you about it, if she wanted she could try to hide it if she had a guilty consience but it doesn't look like she has, how long you 2 been going out for?

Am doing a feature on a local winery for the newspaper.

When I spoke to the owner the other day, he said he had brought out a '2013 personal reserve shiraz'.

TF does personal reserve mean? Part of me thinks its exclusively his but I don't want to assume and get it wrong.

Medication to try and keep it under control, potential for surgery if it's really bad/can't be controlled. Some of the newer medications (biologics) are quite good and some promising ones on the horizon.

So we have our inspection on Wednesday in our place we bought last year. It will be the first time we will be able to go in and see what it looks like and get proper measurements of walls etc.

We noticed on the realestate app, they were offering free whitegoods and blinds if you purchased before Dec 24 as a "Christmas special". We purchased back in Jan, and want to try and push for a fridge, because technically we purchased well before Dec 24.

We also got messed around with the size of our fridge cavity and we still don't know the exact measurements. I want to use that as a bit of leverage as well to try and push for the fridge.

While I don't expect them to say yes, I am bloody well going to try.

Just wondering what people think?

Hmm, I don't think you'll have too much luck, as the offer is designed to attract new customers not to help people whose money they have already received. From their perspective they probably don't have much to gain from giving it to you. Having said that, I pre-ordered something on JB and between ordering it and it arriving, they had a 20% off special and they actually contacted me to give me a retrospective discount - thought that was pretty good of them.

Can't hurt to try.
