Battery management is complicated but generally the best thing for the life of any lithium ion battery is to try and keep it in the middle of its charge range as much as possible, while also minimising the number of times you charge it.
Unless I really need a full battery I try and only charge to 80%, and then run it down to 20% before plugging it back in. This is not always practical but most modern devices have smart charging which at least helps avoid overcharging.
If I am not going to use my laptop for a while I will run the battery down to about 40-50% before turning it off.
it is currrently difficult as im using a monitor that connects to laptop via usbc which in turn charges said laptop.
