Unless you’ve both had a discussion around not wanting to get married, then for me engaged after 3.

If you don’t know by then that this is the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, then call it off.

My folks only got married because it made it easier to emigrate here.

My folks apparently only got married cos they were angry and bitter, determined to make everyone in their lives just as angry and bitter...

How long is too long to wait for a proposal?

I just read a comment online with a lot of likes saying if the bloke hasn't done it within 3 years, break it off. My partner waited almost 6!
It depends. A lot of variables. If you get together when you're 19/20, proposing at 23 is madness.

We were just under 3 years - I am 6 years older than my wife - I was 29, she was 23. We got married 18 months later.

My mate and his wife have been together since they were 21. He didn't propose until he was 25.

I agree. My bro and sister in law were together 10 years when he proposed, but they were high school sweethearts.

Is it worth getting solar ? I avg around 12kWh a day and my bills are still mid $400's

12kWh would be considered extremely low I'd say but still costly. How much does solar cost for a smaller system ?

It’s pretty cheap imo.

This is a pretty good site I used recently.

I paid about 7k for mine. I get a credit most months on my power bill.

What feed in rate are you getting ?

Cheers for this.

I'm not home during the day so unsure if it's worth getting with what looks to be very poor rates across every supplier.

My friends have been together for a good 20+ years, two children, still not married.

None of us care.
My parents have been engaged for 30+ years now

I want to get a bicycle. I will mostly be riding <40min at a time just to get to the gym when my partner has the car, and mostly not on roads (bike paths).

I don't want to pay a lot of money, but I don't want a hunk of shit. Any recommendations?

With bikes, "I don't want to pay a lot of money" could mean $5000 or $200.

30+ minutes riding (each way?), I'd be looking for a bike with a very good gear set and brakes. It also depends on whether there are hills, whether you want to make good time or just get there. Is it part of your exercise?

I'm thinking under $300. Second hand is fine, I just don't know any bike brands other than Huffy haha. Not part of exercise, just a far quicker option than PT to get into the inner north.

Giants and Treks are common bikes that usually have good parts that have a massive price range. I've had Giants in the past and even their cheap end used good components.

I have a Giant Cross City for basically this purpose and it’s been great. Comfortable, fast, simple.

Maybe slightly above your budget new, but probably easy to find second hand

No.

It's a bonus. The last month on reddit has been full of people complaining about their bonuses. You ain't owed shit lol. (last bit not directed at you)

is there an affordable way to see a psychologist?

I think the only way I've seen to get referred via GP is to basically say I'm considering ending it, but that's not truth.

It seems to me like it's hard to get someone 'to talk to' without having to drop $200+/ph
