Wait til someone tells her about Volkswagens.
It predates Musk's involvement in the election and is predominately related to the 'wokeness' of EVs. Now a lot of those people's god-emperor is besties with Elon I wonder whether it might change?Huh? Are people just raging against Tesla’s for some reason? People against Trump/Musk or something.
No advice from me but I love this for you!I currently have my house on the market. When I sell I'm going to buy either a motorhome or caravan and travel around Australia doing relief teaching (and visiting different CrossFit gyms). Anyone got any recommendations as to which would be better? And any recommendations on models? Looking at spending around $100k.

One thing to think about is most motorhomes are diesel thus requiring a diesel mechanic in case of emergency which may be hard to come by if you have issues in some remote part of the country.I currently have my house on the market. I think it will be right up my alley. I've always had a hard time settling in one spot for too long. Thirteen years where I am now is the longest I have lived anywhere. And as I told a friend last night, "Stick a fork in me. I'm done here".I think the whole open road, motor home thing is something I like the idea of but suspect I'd hate in reality.
I'll stick to my annual reading of On The Road I think.I think it will be right up my alley. I've always had a hard time settling in one spot for too long. Thirteen years where I am now is the longest I have lived anywhere. And as I told a friend last night, "Stick a fork in me. I'm done here".
Haven't read that for years. Must do so again.I'll stick to my annual reading of On The Road I think.

It’s honestly a tough choice. Both teaching and Crossfit sound horrifying to me.I currently have my house on the market. We just spent 2 weeks in a 6 berth campervan and I kind of envied the caravan people. I think for 100k you would get a decent caravan if you already have an appropriate car.I currently have my house on the market. Why are you coming to a shithole like Melbourne? So many other better places..About to board a flight to Melbourne. What’s the best way without public transport to get 2 adults, a kid and 5 suitcases into the city at our door?
Edit:
Seems Uber is the answer

3 nights in Melbourne to catch up with some old friends tells you everything about my desire to stay in Melbourne.
