The only team I don't wanna play are the suns over there. The industry will pump this game up as inaugural gold coast suns coming of age by beating us. The momentum will be with them all week . As for everyone else, bring it on!

Depends if we got them week 1 or 2. I reckon a lot of that hype would be sucked out if it was after a QF. Of course we need to get there first…

i've had a play with the ladder and this is very accurate, 14 at the maximum if brisbane score less than 80, if they score more than 80, then about 16 points is necessary

Thus is eerily similar to 2007. We needed to beat $tains away in the last round to finish top 4 and we choked. I remember talking to Dicko and Crawf after the game and they lamented the lost opportunity.

Last nights results are massive. It gives us complete control over finishing 3rd and then having the chance to ride the MCG for 3 games to a flag.

Even if we win and finish 4th, and lose to Crows week one, we can still then ride the MCG for 3 weeks given it would be Cats or Pies on the other side. So winning tomorrow is everything

I don’t think we are the best side in it and we are missing our best player in the part of the ground where we are weakest. But we otherwise have a healthy list and we are playing well. Every side has their issues and the MCG is a big big advantage that Cats Hawks and Pies have over the rest.

I do have Cats as flag favourites largely because they are guaranteed to finish 2nd and therefore guaranteed that opportunity to ride the MCG and likely get an interstate side in the GF. And they are the steadiest team in it, albeit with a ceiling that is lower than many, including ours which makes them vulnerable in each game.

Brisbanes ceiling is the highest but they have personnel and health problems. But tomorrow is equally massive for them.

Tomorrow is huge and must be treated as a final, because if we win and get 3rd we have a genuine chance at riding the G and going far. Lose tomorrow and maybe we get lucky with how the ladder winds up but very likely have to play at least 1-2 games interstate to progress and I don’t like those chances

Cats at the G is awesome. Perfect time to play them and win and we are on the easy side.
