With that other Simpsons thread going, I just had a thought.
How big is the Simpsons really?
Most of us being Gen Y- we have grown up with the yellow family a constant fixture on our screens. I for one can't remember when I started watching it, it just seems to be there. My dad always joked that I've probably seen more of the Simpsons than I have of him. Which could possibly be true.
If you make a reference to the Simpsons in daily conversation, I'd wager that 8 out of ten people would immediately know what you are saying and where you took the quote from.
I'd be interested to hear your thoughts. Where do you rate the Simpsons in terms of things that have made an impact on society? I'd almost go as far as saying the Simpsons have been one of the biggest influences on modern society and culture, not just on TV but across all media.

I've seen some episodes well over 10 times, but still laugh at them now.
