I believe it's nearly time for Thomas to be rested for a couple of weeks. Mind you, he has made a huge impact in his debut season and he definitely has got a bright futurue at the club. No doubts about it.

I want to see Pendlebury play either next week or the week after, so maybe a straight swap is in order... OR, do we go in with an extra small next week?

Yeah agreed. Skills are gettin a bit errant. Bring Pendlebury in for Thomas. :) :thumbsu:

I'd play him for two more games, unless his form drops off.

If you rest him for the Melbourne game, we have a bye over the split round the next week, so effectively you give him a three week break.

Yep spot on give him a rest. It doesn't matter how long for, because he's hardly winning us games. So as long as he needs to fine tune a bit before bringing him back for the finals.

Didnt have much game time last night...

Good question posed, however, not now. Maybe rest him for the Sydney match. Giving him two weeks off, get back to as good as he can. He is capable of running off the bench in the next few weeks, as every player this year has done so efficiently.

But then again, resting Thomas for Pendlebury won't be so bad I guess.

are you saying to drop so he doesnt burn out or coz of his skill levels? i dont think he will burn out Mick gives alot less gametime then most players. Id think his skill levels could only improve with game time! i say keep him for a few more weeks at least

i dont know but the im loving this depth, would love to see shawry back and also want pendles to play but who to drop??

I was thinking the exact same thing CT except was too tired to start a thread last night, I think give Thomas a rest and bring him back in the 2nd half of the season, we have got plenty of depth and Id love to see r shaw or pendles have a few games before the break comes.

I say unleash Pendles with Thomas still in the side versus the Doggies. A nice way to introduce the lad to the Pies, with 1 of his mates playing alongside him. Surely, it would eliminate the nerves to an extent...

Rest Thomas the week after...

what are you guys smoking?? Dale Thomas is the number 2 draft pick! he needs to play for us to get a sh** load of experience and play even better than how hes playing now. Bring Pendlebury in hell yeah but not for a young kid who is absolutely kicking arse.

Yes give DT a rest. he did get 18 touches on sat night, but 80% of them were easy ones in the back pocket. Let him go back and get a full game, and let him run a muck and kick 5 and have 30 touches. Then bring him up again.
Rhyce shaw aint ready from what i saw on sunday at casey grounds. Pendulbury although he had a dog of a game on sunday, has been playing well enough to maybe earn a spot. But Honestly why change the side. there is no need. Presti on Brad Johnson would be good to see. I noticed presti's pace has risen this year, which is good to see.

Anyways back to the point,,, Dale thomas back to willy for a week or two.

The kid works his ring off to keep the ball locked in our forward line, an important attribute when playing the dogs. Those thinking Daisy needs a rest this week need to put down the crack pipe.

I agree, he looks like he needs a rest, but we need speed against the dogs, dont be surprised if he is in this week and out against the lions the following week.

He shouldn't be rested yet... as he needs to increase in value for Dream Team... *cough*

If we need pace against the Bulldogs and want to rest Daisy, then there's Rhyce Shaw knocking on the door. Pendles would be of similar pace to Daisy and I would love to see his much hyped evasiveness. Would it be too early to bring back Rusling?
