Would it be more relevant if I picked out the 11 individual games where Marshall had over 10 contested possessions at the same as to make the point that it's really nothing to hang your hat on as a ruck as some kind of achievement and not what most would consider a big game.

Whether or not TDK has actually provided a big game is the discussion here.

In all honesty TDK is probably the best ruckman in the league….I kid

Reality is…on what he’s produced thus far he’s probably worth a pick in the 30-40 range, however he has some elite traits (certainly not yet consistent traits) coupled with being a Ruck who can play forward and has good family pedigree both on a sibling and parent level that will mean he will net a pick if somewhere from 10-20. Is he worth that, most likely not (not yet anyway), but imo this is what the blues receive will receive if he leaves and taller ruck forwards are always valued higher in picks vs mids as they are harder to come by.

Nah mate, you trying to suggest that the point I was making when bringing up Marshall as a comparison was who was worth more was petty. It's clear as day that's not what I was suggesting.

It's also petty suggesting that comparing players stats of simialr positions and age isn't relevant either. If the poster wanted to bring up a certain stat as to why TDK had a "big game" than I think it's more than fair that I show a comparison to prove that that stat really isn't overly impressive when compared to what other rucks produce.

Big game would be a relative term, surely. A big game for one player is not necessarily a big game for another, even in the same position.

He was very good against the Suns. He wasn't alone.

One of the better games I remember him playing was against west coast over there. He’d only played a hand full of games and took on Nic Nat who was in good form. Can’t remember what year maybe 2021

Both TDK and Ratugolea are out of contract talls who have shown glimpses of elite talent but rarely impacted games significantly. They're not going to get more than a mid 2nd rounder.

If it got messy i would be content with Geelong and Ports future seconds otherwise would prefer to see him playing for West Coast via the PSD.

If half of the talent in the draft is unavailable due to Academy and F/S selections then that diminishes the value of the picks in that draft. Nothing else to grasp really

Well if we find out tomorrow that Reid was actually fathered by Nathan Buckley and will be a FS does pick 1 still hold the same value as it does today?

Might be an earlier r2 if port get one for georgiades etc (say a mid 20s pick) but regardless tdk isnt worth a 1st rounder so i think a 2nd and a 3rd is fairly close to the mark.

If its a pick in the 20s and a 3rd I think that's a fair deal. Have said before my opinion on him is he's worth somewhere between 15 and 30 depending on the buyer.
