Went for the fend off with the elbow instead of the hand and caught the Richmond players flush on the face forcing him from the ground with the blood rule.

While I don't think he intended to hit the guy in the face (reckon he thought his elbow would hit him in the chest/upper arm) the ending result did not look good.

I didn't see the incident so can't comment. But Mitchell is second favourite for the Brownlow so what would the Brownlow market look like without him?

Dusty currently at $1.16, Mitchell at $5.50, Josh Kelly at $17 and Sloane at $23.

Nope I've learnt accidents don't matter.
I do know he would be suspended if he didn't have the ball but the thing is he did. It shouldn't make a difference.

TBH who the f*** knows how this will get adjudicated, MRP is a rabble at the moment.
Probably shouldn't go as he had the ball and it was accidental contact to an opposing players head but yeh... who knows.

Actually, in the current climate, equal chance of 'Nothing to see here', '$1,000 fine', and '1 week'.

Its possible they will grade it careless and low impact and give him a fine. Im okay with that. The fend off really needs to be policed far better.

However seeing Murdoch/Merrett get suspended i was half worried we wouldnt see tom Mitchell till round 4 next season
