He actually overstates the number of 1986 SOO players on our 1987 list - it’s eight, not ten. Shane Ellis wasn’t added until 1989 and Colin Waterson was never on our list, I think he played for Brisbane.

Colin Waterson played for Richmond before he came to WA and played East Freo. He's from Vic, not WA.

We did have 4 years of consessions compared to GC 1 year and we had 4/5 of a state of origin side by 1992

We got pre draft picks 3 years and WA zone selections for 4 years . We have a very lucritive zone compared to Gold coast . We were given an established team who made the finals in our 2nd year all whilst we built our list through the draft .

By the time we won our first flag we pretty much had a state of origin team through draft consessions .

Sure we were fisted hard financially but not in list building consessions .

People need to stop getting their panties in a twist over priority picks . We just won a flag where darling and shuey were priority picks .

The mod board has a list of serial pests with their own threads (posters where their aliases were often ban on sight) and of course it's a place where they all discuss potential new candidates for the permaban list.

A couple still message me from time to time either begging to be let back or abusing me for the ban.

1989 pre draft ryan Turnbull , peter mann and Ashley McIntosh ( FS)

1990 /1991 glen jackovick , mitchell white and jason ball as zone selections .

On top of an established team who made finals in 1988 .

With Frampton & Ryder leaving Port, I’d look at a trade that would involve Vardy (if he’s agreeable, of course) & SPP (if SPP wants out of Port). It pairs Lycett & Vardy together again, which would hold some weight after their achievements as a duo last year. I know they’ve got Hayes but he’d still be raw and has had injury concerns (IIRC)

They’ve also got Ladhams who they rate, and Dixon, Westhoff and Howard (for now) who can all do a decent job as the backup. I don’t think they’d have any interest in Vardy.

How is Cousins a concession? He could have gone to Geelong or Fremantle but chose us.

With every player nominating their destination it's time the AFL does away with current trading and finds a new system for compensating clubs.

Free agency needs to be changed as well. So sick of being penalised in the draft because other teams are picking up free agents and effectively creating new draft picks from the compensation.
