With the trading period coming up soon, i am guessing we are more than likely to trade off our 1st round pick for someone ready-made. Question is who? I've heard these rumblings about Chris Tarrant.
But i would like us to hang onto them and draft a decent youngster. (Not going to question the contribution of Jolly) but Melbourne ended up getting Lynden Dunn from the pick 15 we gave them. And Essendon got (i can't remember seeing him) a highly rated Courtney Dempsey with the pick we gave them for Ted Richards.
Sounds like a bit of a catch 22. But i have seen Roos state he doesn't believe in the draft, (which is a bit silly) but rather trading the picks for ready-made players.
I'm not sure whats available in the draft, apart from the obvious top 3 or 4 picks, but extending out to about pick 15 or 16 i'm not sure whats out that far. But i think we could do with another defender.
