I coulnd't believe Crouch didn't get a free kick for getting punched in the face in clear view of the umpire (and everyone else).

It wasn't even a clumsy attempt at playing the ball, just a roundhouse swing. Obvoiusly the umpire thought it was 'good bodywork'.

As much as i love Dermie, hes an absolute idiot for trying to get Trent to be like him. It's impossible for a player to play the way Dermie did in his day in todays form of the game, especially with the way the rules have changed.

It would have been a hell of a lot better if Dermie had of just let Croady play his own game and let him develop his own way of playing, instead of taking control.

He should be regretting it.

One interesting thing for the game. The 3AW commentator said that a swans and Hwks playes collided with the umpire at the same time, but wondered why a free wasn't paid. But who would he pay a free to if both players collided at the same time ?

Does anyone know who the two players were who ran into the umpire? I can't recall seeing the incident myself. As for Croady's effort, I think it was just more clumsy than malicious and he may get off...will be interesting to see.

But I don't think dropping him is the answer, for starters we have no key position players to bring up from Box Hill and he certainly wasn't the only player to have a bad game (ie Bowyer, Graham, Hay, Rawlings, Dixon all struggled).

Low and behold this moron isnt asked to face the tribunial.

Yet another player has to face a 1 week susupension becasue the ****en umpires cant handle anything.

What was the number of the umpire who missed this high shot?
