and you've won ... what, exactly, Fat Sam?

If you notice it only comes from teams and supporters of teams that are irrelevant. E.g Liverpool.

Name one example of anyone affiliated with Liverpool acting like Fat sam?

Well, the big games do include the EPL big '4' games and IIRC, I don't think he has done quite as well in them. Also, his best season to date doesn't come close to Messi's.

Messi:
Season 06/07: 30 appearances, 17 goals, 2 assists.
Season 07/08: 33 appearances, 16 goals, 13 assists.
Season 08/09: 41 appearances, 38 goals, 16 assists.
Season 09/10: 46 appearances, 45 goals, 10 assists.

150 appearances, 116 goals, 41 assists, 157 goal contributions @ 1.05 per game.

Fabregas:
Season 06/07: 49 appearances, 4 goals, 15 assists.
Season 07/08: 43 appearances, 13 goals, 23 assists.
Season 08/09: 32 appearances, 3 goals, 13 assists.
Season 09/10: 34 appearances, 19 goals, 16 assists.

158 appearances, 39 goals, 67 assists, 106 goal contributions @ 0.67 per game.

Which is all well and good, and pretty much a mathematical foundation as to why I stated "At present, only Messi is superior to him in world football" just a few posts earlier. You must also acknowledge though that Messi is generally surrounded by about 100M euros of extra supply on any given weekend. And his need to track back is not so necessary. Nor has he sustained a broken leg during that period.

Ronaldo is still a genius, but most of Ronaldo's best work in all of those stats was done in 06-08. Hence my inclusion of "At present ...". Two years ago he was actually superior to Messi ... and everyone else too.

not that we were a chance, but title is gone. We are too shit. Rosicky was a poor choice for a penalty taker. Song is an idiot **** off.

We are a long way from "too shit". Arsenal are actually very, very good, and the envy of about 99% of league clubs in Europe.

But there is little question that it is simply a case of Chelsea currently being too good. They just continue to accrue 3-pointers - and we cannot control the games in which we are not involved.

I doubt that it's not a major revelation to many here to state that we have been in a battle for 2nd to 6th since well before transfer summer window closed.

Watch us lose to spurs in the CC to make matters worse. Also it was f**** stupid playing cesc the whole 90 mins on Wednesday f*** his hatrick.

Cesc should've been subbed out at about 55 minutes on Wednesday night. That's not hindsight either ... I'm sure there would've been many of us who were willing it to happen at the time.

How about your pathetic posts last night?
Name the only team in the league that constantly whinges about teams being too physical?

Anyways Liverpool has nothing to be envious about regarding Arsenal. You can have your stadium and your Champions League place but I wouldn't swap my club for the world even though things aren't rosy at the moment.

Well, you did say Cesc's record over the past 3-4 seasons is marginally inferior to Messi's so I brought up those stats. Anyway, I think Messi and Ronaldo have consistently shown that they are the top two footballers in the world. That's pretty much what I am saying. Though, Cesc's form at the moment would put him in the top three.

On your point about the quality surrounding Messi, I think immensely talented players will flourish, no matter what (obviously they will be playing at top clubs and not bottom-feeder clubs).

So I gave you an example, happy to admit you were wrong? Name one team that has had 3 of their players legs broken in the last few sesons as direct result of bad tackles. Not to mention tackles like the ones on diaby and adebayor that resulted in weeks out. It's all just a bad luck isn't it?

Yeah. Fair enough, bit out of annoyance and drunkeness with that comment, not too shit, not shit at all Chelsea is just too good at the moment. I think we'll be really good in a year or two though, Chelsea have a great side but they're aging as well, our players will get experience but we still do need keeper and possibly a defender still. Liverpools gone down a bit, Man United have an aging side i guess as well but they always manage to get the desired result, clubs are a bit scared to play against them more than Man United being like overly superior (good side of course but not at the level they were 2 years ago). Tottenham splash the cash and got some good players but they are pretty meh, but maybe with time to settle they could do well. Man City are in a similar boat, good players but not a good team just yet.

The only way I can see Chelsea slowing down is if a couple of their major players get injuries. An Arsenal like injury run would be helpful. The only problem is that their players are made out of muscle rather than glass.

If we stopped getting injuries that would be good too.

Fair points, and well made.
