So You want Gold Coast to play a Travel game off a 5 day break, before a 6 day break right before finals?

Which would then force Essendon to play a travel game off a 5 day break?

Who cares about Essendon. Their season is done. They don’t need to worry about finals prep or 5 day breaks.

The whole last month of the season the floating fixture has been a joke.

Bombers getting 4 of 6 Thursday/Friday night games to end the season? Not one person wants that or is the apparent purpose of this floating fixture nonsense.

The AFL have known since OR the replacement game would be getting scheduled during that week. GC should have been given the priority in the weeks leading to finals to ensure they maximise their breaks in between where it could have been achieved. If they had been scheduled in the bombers slots for the last few weeks, there is no issue and no need for any 5 day breaks. Yet here we are. If this was a big Vic club, they absolutely would have given it greater consideration to avoid the scenario the suns are now in going into finals with a 5 day break and travel before their final game.

Well this post certainly highlights the MCG advantage when a rested Interstate team can't win against an MCG tenant.
Thanks for the support DG.👍
The usual level of WA wowsers VICBIAS comprehension fail.

But yes, very happy to highlight how inane any travel fatigue argument is when teams sit at home for 2 months prior to a GF.

And how stupid it is for people to align Hawthorn with Essendon and Carlton (who don't travel) ignoring that Hawthorn travelled more than WC in 2015, and have the equivalent travel load of the SA teams in normal H&A seasons.

Are we back to travel again are we.

I challenge anyone to find an article about how traveling less than 3 time zones can impact performance.

I've yet to see one.

Kranky loves posting his medical journal about skeleton athletes travelling 24 hrs to Canada, who show no performance impact but they report they "believe" they are jet lagged. 👍

Not a humble fella are ya!

Just a reminder of the clear VFL biased scheduling:

Crows V Collingwood - Next Saturday night.

This is 1 V 2 on the VFL ladder FFS.

Collingwood played last night.

Adelaide play in 2 days' time, at 4.40pm, IN PERTH. Game will finish around 7pm Perth time

So they will not even be back in Adelaide until very late Sunday night or possibly Monday morning.

This effectively gives Collingwood a 3 days extra break before they play us.

What an unbelievable leg up at this critical part of the season?!

Fair share, lol.

4 a piece isnt the default setting, you have to earn them and it looks like the 3 Vic teams in it are getting a manufactured advantage in 3 seperate areas.
Of course. If VicBias was such a big impact in the home and away, Victoria would have above average amount of teams.

The fact that there is only 3 shows that either a) it's not quite the big deal you've built it up to be in your head or b) the equalisation measures are working to even the comp up.

Id say it suggests that without those obvious and measurable biases, they'd be closer to the bottom with the rest of the Vic teams.

You need biases, lol.

It'd be an earnt prelim to lose though, yeah?

No Vic legups like the above.
An extra home game and you still can't make the 8, you've earn't jack.

If the Vics didn't look after you early on, you wouldn't even exist.

Can't even play in China without help.

Won't wear the stripes because your cowards.

Just shit frightened of the big bad Vics.

So if all the Vic teams were at the bottom that would suggest the Vicbias isn't a thing at all? Maybe there needs to be more Vicbias to even up the comp?

Such a weird bump.
