3. Jack
2. Newman - I've potted this bloke a fair bit in the past, but apart from a couple of games early in the season he has been very good this year. Finally playing the way he should have been playing for the last 3 years. Those 2 marks he took running back were sensational. Technically hard to execute and require a fair bit of courage.
1. Martin

1/ Tambling (his attack on the ball and the man and his tackling was awesome I just wish he would get more of the pill because his usage is elite)
Thought he was much better once switched down back. Don't know how many times he has to prove the back flank or pocket is his best position before they start playing him there consistently.

5 Newman
4 Riewoldt
3 Martin
2 Cousins
1 Collins - mainly for his 2 goals

Hon mentions - Astbury. King and Tuck - good tagging jobs. Webberley, Simmo, Gus, Cotch, Lids, Bling all worked hard. McGuane was better than most give him credit for - gave away 10-15 cm to his various opponents and their 3 tall forwards kicked just 4 goals between them.

I think once the forward line is under control we might see Tambling back in the pocker or near the back line.

Cuz Thursty and Cotch all solid.

Special mention to Simmo in his final game. He stuck up for some of the younger guys really well. Shame he wasn't willing to stomp on that filthy germ Milne and take a few weeks for the boys.

2 Luke(Ask Kosi, and the other aints talls why)
1 Gus

As for your ridiculous comment on Bling's ball usage...which game were you watching dude? I know i am one of his detractors, and yes his efforts were commendable, but i can safely say there might have been 2 times, his usage was actually to our advantage, the rest was total and utter shitfulness. This flagrant use of the word elite by alot of tigerheads is why we are a laughing stock to the rest of the comp's supporters...;)

Honourable Mention - Tambling - Looked to be returning to somewhere near his best and like a few of the commentators mentioned had an 'almost' night where he constantly had hands on the ball, but couldn't break free.

had hands on the ball and couldnt break free...? really??...its been part and parcel of what we have seen forever with this dude.
He cant break a tackle, he cant even allow his arms to be free in the tackle, he ducks his head, negating any chance of seeing an opening, he cant release the ball to advantage, most of his deliveries are off the mark, even the ones that are standard issue chips, make the target stretch. The same goes with Tuck..ducks the head, goes in gets it and doesnt know anything more...goes to ground because its the only way he can get the stats that give him games, while his direct opponents get it while they are on their feet, making them options in the contest and after it.

I will say it again, Bling and Tuck are standard issue triers that will hang around until they can become what the Tarquin Lockyers of the world have now become to the scum, fill.
And Lockyer was light years ahead of the above 2 in smarts and skill..
Those here that have a problem with that...i really dont give a **** about ...Both Bling and Tuck wont be in the 22 when and if we are a competitive unit against the top shelf..or better still we will wallow in the mire until they are no longer required players...the end...;)

I am surprised at this - I thought MccQuane was ok - nothing special - Statistically Kosi had his second best game off the year, so what i am saying is that Kosi is vastly overarted and has done nothing all year.

yes he made a couple of goof ups, thats part and parcel of Luke's game. Strictly speaking Kosi aint worth a rats arse in my book, and it wasnt purely his game on Kosi that impressed, when the other 2 were in the FL, Lukey gave away height and didnt give them a look in, with help at times from Gus.
The guy defies logic when talking build & height and who he had to deal with. Dont underestimate the value of his negation of the aints tall timber trump they had in their FL. ;)
