Alot of clubs are underestimating the Essendon Football Club and the players in it. I believe we have alot to look forward to in 2007. What are your thoughts ?

I am impressed with Essendon's performances over the last few months with exception of the Sydney game where we played 10 minutes of good football at the start of the game before dropping off.
I think the players are all finding confidence which is one of the most important aspects of the game.
Next year we will see the return of our Essendon's leading goal kicker of all time and captain Matthew Lloyd. I am impressed with the improvement of Watson, Nathan Lovett Murray, Monfries & especially Stanton this year. John's is also showing promising signs as the session is progressing. Especially his matches against Freo & the Pies.
With Lloyd back in the side it will allow Lucas to spend more time in the backline where he is needed. I am also liking Fletcher the veteron still showing why he is one of the best full backs of the modern era.
I was pleased with Winderlich game this year until he got injured earlier in the year.
We will recieve draft picks #1 or #2, #17 or #18, #32 or #33, unless traded. When was the last time we got a decent shot at a draft pick? Even last year we came 13th and still only got pick #7 because the bottom 3 sides getting priority draft picks.
I am happy with the way Jason & Mark Johnson are getting back to their best with every game that they play this session. I along with everyone else at Essendon hope that James Hird the legend of our club can go on one more year to end on a high rather then retire from a team ranked 15th or 16th(Wooden Spooners) at session end.

Seeing Lloyd kick a tonne. And, hopefully, seeing Hird play a stellar season to finish of a stellar career.

No Channel Nine! Finally a joint venture between 1 footy side and a tv station. Essendon and Channel 7. Lucky the 'dons stuck it out with 'em through the Ed, Derm & Garry anti-dons era.
Oh, and of course the fact that we're currently the last Vic premiership team and of course the next!

I'm looking forward to seeing more wins, a few new faces in the red and black, watching a few of the young guys take the next step up in their AFL careers, the return to the park of Lloyd and other injured guys, and most of all, I hope to see Rama get back his best health and get back on the field with his mates. We're all behind you Rama mate!
