What would a Dutton Liberal leadership mean for the Liberals and the country?

I loved the last question about a Treaty and truth telling…when albo was answering about a treaty they interjected??? They off the rails…
Makes a good Murdoch news clip. "Your local LNP member fighting for your right to hate!"

So after 71 pages, I think we can have a go at answering the thread title...

Dutton has taken the Liberal political party and turned it into a collective of next-level self-satirists. They've even got their own show on the ABC, jury still out on whether 'Nemesis' will rival the Chaser team...

And the country is not really ready for such a clever re-positioning it seems. Ironic that Henry Winkler is in the country atm too...

Getting absolutely caned in QT over the tax cuts issue they dug into their kit bag of emergency lifelines and all they feckin had was more punching down culture wars BS.

Less than half an hour after both Houses of Parliament had passed a condolence motion over the loss of the one of Australia's most revered human rights and Indigenous rights activists, Dr Lowitja O'Donoghue AC CBE DSG.

Sickening stuff.

So they know their election policy for the next election, but won’t tell anyone? Seems strange when stage 3 was legislated a couple of elections in the future?
Is Dutton and his treasurer even more incompetent than scomo/fryzo

The time is now for the Liberals to dump Dutton and put a leader in from the Liberal Left.

The next election is winnable if they commit to change

I think it's much more likely they go further to the right than bring in someone from the Liberal Left (who is genuinely left?)
Libs will rely on the huge rusted on plus enough people annoyed with Labor to get back into power eventually. Particularly given the last few elections have been won by the smallest target and not on policy.
Our country as a whole leans conservative so it's inevitable at some point unless we have a strong new alternative.

The rusted on are now passing away. The country might lean economically slightly conservative, however the far Christian Right bullshit doesn't resonate with under 70s or our immigration population, which in 10-20 years will be the voting majority.

What election winning policies could a new leader bring to the table?

Increased wages for healthcare workers, abolish pensions for politicians, conscription for dole bludger, low interest home loans for under 35s who work full time, increase corporate tax
