Hawkins 10 goals + assists from 3.8 Grand Finals @ 2.6 per Grand Final. In these games there were 98 goals scored, Hawkins assisted or kicked 10.2% of them. Hawkins played as a permanent key forward in all of those Grand Finals. But apparently all of those involvements were somehow special, lol, they would need to be.

Riewoldt, J 2.8 Grand Finals 11 goals + assists at 3.9 per Grand Final. Riewoldt kicked or assisted 17.5% of all goals scored by both teams in the Grand Finals he played. But, you know anyone could do that because the Richmond team who wasn't as good as those Geelong teams somehow magically made it easier for their Full Forward to dominate Grand Finals.

Then we ratchet things up to another level....

Martin, D 2.8 Grand Finals 15 goals + assists at 5.4 per Grand Final. Martin scored or assisted 23.8% of all goals scored in the Grand Finals in which he played. The midfielder who was lucky to win 3 Norm Smith Medals apparently. "Got on the end of a few" apparently. :tearsofjoy:

What was the argument about again PB? Whatever it was, I don't think Hawkins is winning it if we are talking goals and assists in Grand Finals. Maybe against Billy Frampton or something, but not on this thread champ. :)

Cool story

If Dusty was so great, why can't his GOAT influence keep his team afloat like many of the past greats did when they hit 30+ years of age?

Bloke was stellar when everything was smooth sailing.

That's how good we are. We are trying to get below North Melbourne to get our man at the MSD and still can't achieve it due to an over abundance of quality. :)
Patience MR, these guys have no idea they’ll achieve nothing this season but a bad draft pick. Let the poor guys have something in the meantime.
