Sidebottom's had a single season in the last 13 years (2020) where he's finished lower in his club best and fairest than Acres' highest ever finish.

And we need to debate that Sidebottom is the superior player?
Acres easy the better player the last two seasons, Sidebottom should've been dropped in the 2nd half of the season but Pies had no one they could bring in, the last few games where he performed well in a middling side saved him from a horrible season.

It's all relative...

'A horrible season for Sidebottom'.... where he finished 4th in his club's best and fairest.

'Career best year for Acres'.... where he finished 6th in his club's best and fairest.

Acres is a better player than Sidebottom going into 2025. That's a fact.

Pies can't argue with actual stats or evidence so they push lines about BnF positions and all other nonsense. If either player was at Richmond next year they'd probably win the BNF... It's a totally irrelevant measure when you're comparing two different clubs players.

Just throw em a bone and give them Acres.

If had to add one for a 2025 Supercoach team you would go Acres I reckon.

Carlton as a team have been 2nd, 3rd and 6th in supercoach team rating under Voss. Pies usually below league average under Fly in same period
Carlton have more stats, but not as many wins.

You really do need to get to those remedial English classes where they teach you the difference between 'fact' and 'opinion'.

Sorry, didn't realise we were using Supercoach points to conclude who the better player was.

Absolute turmoil down at Carlton.
Have to say the Blues powerbrokers handled this ok after Sayers initially hacked the bed.

Damage is done and they have to find another President, so a bit more turmoil, but the fellas at Princess Park nipped a festering sore in the bud by forcing his resignation.

Nice of the AFL to ice the cake with a "nothing to see here" but they've done that for our boy Kelly too, so we can't complain.

Yeah, we heard you the first time.

Are you suggesting Sidebottom's B&F results would be much worse in a lesser team, or that Acres' B&F results would be much better in a stronger team? Or both?
"Ah yes, comparing players from 2 different clubs, different quality teammates and voting criteria"

"Comprehension"

'Sarcasm' is another term you're taught in remedial English classes.

Ironic

I'm a huge Sidebottom fan second only to Pendelbury as far as keeping Collingwood competitive and tough to beat ( leaving the kidgoat aside). Sidebottom can do stuff Acres cant but Acres can do stuff sidebottom can't - irrelevant choice really toss a coin - a combined side wont win or lose with addition or subtraction of either.

When I look at the combined side- it just tells me that the players (from each team) that were exluded will be the difference between the Clubs, that and how well the excluded players 'gell' with included for their respective teams.

In my mind Collingwood dont have to prove anything - they have been a top side for years and this year have added some developed AFL quality to strengthen their hand.

In terms of consistency Carlton have to prove that they can play strong football week in week out- one factor that needs to go their way is a decent run of injury the second factor is continuing improvemment from the likely starting younger players: Hollands X2, Motlop, Cowan, Boyd in particular.

Collingwood's biggest challenge will be maintaining the best possible squad on the field - they arent a developing squad- they are developed.

I think Collingwood have the edge in defense and forward lines - I think Carlton has the edge between the arcs. It is no wonder the games have been close for a couple of years now. Two different styles of football based on players that the respective coaches have to call on.

What has gone on with your posting the last couple of days?

You need to check whether someone has hacked your BigFooty account, because there have been multiple posts of yours I have agreed with...
