I've bolded the games in which Cripps would have been considered a 'matchwinner' - 7 games in total.

You started off so well, with the first three games great examples. But then you seemed to get a little desperate...

Matchwinner Cripps has played 11 full seasons and only 3 winning seasons, those records, 11-0-10 (i will be generous and not count the game he missed. 14 1 9 and in the much vaunted 48 vote Brownlow season 13-0-11, ouch

So you rejected my notion that I would have to watch the games again to see when he was a matchwinner because the games should be "obvious". Then someone provides a list of games without rewatching them and you reject that. Literally no winning with you - no point to this conversation
The best thing to do would have been to provide a legitimate list of games in which Cripps was a matchwinner.

As has been said before - there really aren't that many games to choose from in his catalogue of wins with the Carlton Football Club - it should be a straightforward exercise.

It was done and you rejected it as it was not consistent with your own belief about how many Cripps should have. Confirmation bias at its best

Based on what? 10 coaches votes + 3 Brownlow votes is a pretty clear indicator of who they thought was the difference maker and you've left out a bunch of them lmao

Anyway, where is the list of Nicky's heroics? That was the arrangement wasn't it... I give Cripps games and Fudger gives Nicky's to compare?

Lets see it
So we're aware that Cripps has 7 'matchwinning' games since 2018 - the past 7 years. I even gave you the dead rubber against Brisbane in 2019.

That's not bad - it's not easy to be a matchwinner at AFL level. One per season.

I assume you stopped at 2018 on the basis there wouldn't have been any more examples prior to that?

OK - I've already given two examples of Daicos being a Matchwinner. Let me share another six examples to make the ratio 8:7 across their careers - a win to Daicos.

Can we get Nicky's list now please? 20 games of Crippa took about 10 minutes of research... Only fair that Fadge provides his list of the holy squibs heroics to compare
First of all the stats you are using are completely pointless because this is also an eye test thing, But just to humour you he has played 70 games in 3 seasons winning 49 games mostly really tight games, He was BOG in half those wins, and if you want to pick a game with stats i will just choose 2024 Round 10, 32 possessions including 15 contested 7 Clearances and a couple of goals. you may remember this game as the Daicos totally pantsed Walsh game and kicked the matchwinner which also had a big degree of difficulty

Yes that's correct.

I stopped at 2018 because I couldn't be bothered wasting any more time for such a ridiculous discussion.

Oh dear god he's basing match winning performances off fluff pieces by the media in the match reports isn't he...

If we're going off fluff pieces I change my answer to 25 'matchwinning' performances by Cripps.

Can chuck in the Port game this year too when he kicked 2 clutch goals in the last quarter to turn the game
