Will a Crows vs GWS gf sell out?

LOL. You obviously have a very short memory, or suffer the long term effects of concussion. Click on your profile and go check out your posting history.
Why don't you check it precious and see that I treat snipes from all opposition supporters equally.

If you think I dislike the crows anymore than other teams, that could only mean that Crows fans must be the worst to converse with. Which you're doing a pretty good job of proving right now :thumbsu:

Haha stay salty geoff !!! :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

Lol Relax.

It's an observation that no one is interested in watching GWS and they may end up playing another non-Melbourne team in Melbourne.

It's a unique situation
But would it be a tragedy if the stadium was only half full?

I have been lucky enough to watch around 10 GFs live (on and off from '99 to '13) and easily the one with the least atmosphere was '04 Brissie V Port. Stadium was full of neutrals and corporates with a sprinkle of lions and power fans in the mix. I reckon if the majority of tickets hadn't pre-sold there would have been way less. So don't fret I am sure the majority of tickets will sell or already have sold and you will still get >85k should GWS make it.

Yep. Tipping a shit ton of people from Adelaide. Actually not that far by car... they don't really have the travel/flight issues that Perth people do.

If it's GWS it'll be easy to get a ticket so guessing a lot of them would take the opportunity.

The 56,000 tonight will drive over like Otten's parents did today in opposite direction to get from here to Adelaide town.

Although they will probably need to leave 4-30 am Saturday morning next week at the latest to get to the G a few hours early to enjoy the day more. Stop off Horsham for breakfast and keep going for 3 or 4 more hours.

Correct me if I'm wrong but not every showdown has been a sellout

I'm having difficulty finding stats - it seems like I'd need to research each match individually. But nearly all of Adelaide Oval goes to season ticket holders - there aren't many tickets left for the away team. The sum total of Adelaide and Port season ticket holders would probably sell out the stadium one and a half times.

I can safely say without hyperbole, that this is the greatest tragedy in the history of humanity.

I know we are all getting swept up onto the tiggy train, but what happens if GWS win tomorrow? Does the AFL expect a Crows v Giants sellout at the G?

The crows are playing infront of the biggest ever Adelaide oval crowd at 56k, so you would have to assume that is the absolute max the crows could even consider as being able to attend the game at the G. Where does the other 40k come from?
40k + were allocated months ago to corporates. The competing clubs members are not the crowd on gf day.

How can people not know this? Serious question.

People know this, but will people still pay up to watch GWS v Adelaide is the question

Adelaide vs GWS will get 100,000, with 90% of them Adelaide fans. But 50/50 if against Richmond.

Although I did dream once about Adelaide playing GWS in the Grand Final. I really want to play against Richmond next week.

How about the corporates? I think they make up about 15% at minimum.

Then you have the tickets going to the other AFL clubs that didn't make it to the Grand Final. The MCC Members. The AFL Members.

Should be much lower than 90%

Yes, there will be 100,000 seats sold, and there will be complaints (mostly from Adelaide fans) about how they couldn't get a ticket.

and yet some people want to move the game to much smaller venues.
