They're all painful to listen to, and after a while, their voices just become noises in my head.

Kinda weird man! do you hear voices too..:p
anyway Healy for mine too, absolute toolbag. Dont mind Chappelli stiring up the other commentators, but Ritchie is the best hands down....once heard him describe Stuart Clarke as the last of the straightbacks. ****en lol

Nicholas is just an absolute w***er. Can't stand his hyperbowl.

Healy easily though.

We'll just ignore your Grade 6 spelling skills and put this down to a glorious unintentional pun :)

The best thing is he's clearly been going around pronouncing it as 'hyperbowl':D

Anyway, Bigfooty posters do whinge far too much about the media but our commentary team is simply second rate. In contrast, I love listening to the Sky Sports team. They're insightful and occasionally hilarious (usually Bumble).

bumble is the best thing about them. botham can get stuffed

Healy so so so easily. They should get Kerry O'Keeffe!
No way, I am not missing out on Harsha and Kerry's banter on ABC this Summer just because a few you dislike Heals et al.

Mods, remove the last three options from the poll please. They're surplus to requirements.

Forget commentators, Healy is the most irritating person on television. Note please that this includes Rove, Kyle Sandilands and Richard Wilkins. A cheerleading, ignorant, pants creaming, tail wagging imbecile.

Why isn't Lawry there? Will we see him this Summer?

ohh yes ill have two of those

I reckon Chappell is the worst by far. Whinges about things which no else gives a s*** about, while ignoring what is actually happening in the game.

Ian Healy was commentating with Tony Greig this afternoon when Starc was batting with Haddin.

While discussing Starc's batting prowess against the short ball and how the Kiwis should get him out Tone provided this gem: 'He's a compulsive puller'.

Could not believe Heals (sledgey mcsledge himself) didn't immediately chime in with 'well you're the expert there'. Was tempted to work out how to use Twitter so I could 'hashtag' them and contribute to the commentary myself, but figured the moment would have passed by the time I figured it out, and it would make me one of those people that uses Twitter...

1990s Bill Lawry would've seen what was there to be played and dispatched it with glee, Heals, and I reckon the goose that is James Brayshaw would've had a look too. Shame, Heals. Shame.

:)

Already noted. :)

And as I said, you're guaranteed something unintentionally inappropiate from him every now and then. We just don't have Bill to wind him up about it for the next 30 minutes anymore. :(

Reminds me of so many 12th man skits. We just don't have that niggling - agro thing going on in the box anymore. :(

It was deliberate. It's been a meme ever since Gillard pronounced it like that. :p

If I had my way I'd have Nicholas, Slater, Lawry, Benaud, Fleming and Gilchrist. Nicho is a polished commentator who actually knows his stuff. Slatts is just so excitable, his enthusiasm is something that makes it good to listen to when it gets a bit boring. Bill and Richie are Bill and Richie. No need to explain. Flem is a smart and funny bowling expert. Gilly is a keeper to make it easier for people like me who don't understand keeping help understand it.

The worst is Greig, closely followed by Healy and Chappell

Perhaps I'm giving him too much credit, but I thought he was intentionally taking the piss! Perhaps that's because our class used to intentionally pronounced it that way in high-school as it would drive our bitch of an English teacher mental.

RE: Commentators, I'd also probably have to go for Healy. Just talks so much shit. I like Nicholas, and I don't mind Slats or Tubs. Really though, as others have been saying, I find it nowhere near as good as international commentary or radio commentary.

When we're overseas and on Fox, we get guys like Border, Pollock, Holding, Pommie Mbangwa, Wessels, Shastri, etc... and for me, they just seem a lot more comfortable in the box, and focus on details (actually related to cricket) that are worth focusing on. Some of this would be down to Channel 9's agenda though. I think I'd be able to enjoy the commentary as a whole on 9 a lot more without having ad's read by the commentators after almost every ad-break. Gatorade, VB, KFC, and I even remember them plugging Desperate Housewives a few summers back. As if Tony Greig has ever seen a ****ing episode in his life. I understand they have sponsors to cater to, but listening to them read the same shit every ten minutes drives me batshit.
