Ben Beames from Melbourne got donuts in 2000. He was the late in for Cameron Bruce.

Troy Simmonds got 2 hitouts and amazingly got 2 freekicks yet no possessions (is that a record?). I know that he couldn't take one obviously because the thug Michael Long polaxed him. He went on to be a decent player though.

Do you reckon anyone from this year could go on to be in this catagory? Sean Dempster perhaps? I wouldn't say guys like Varcoe and Milne because they are normally decent players.

From memory, didn't Ben Beams become the first player to play both a VFL and AFL grand final in the same year?
Of course not long before that there were reserves (except SA and WA clubs) and the GF was on the same day.

That little titrat from Carlton's 1995 premiership.

He played 4 games for the season and got a medal.

I hated that little runt.

Hogg was a solid tagger for us. Only played four games that year because of foot surgery. No way does he deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as the 1993 duds.
