Love No #17 Who has been forced into early retirement!! Thanks to a cheap shot by North Footscray!! heck I N Pricks!!

Was it #5 who gave u that cheap shot... whata dog he is.

It was #24 Garry Gath that got the bump. It was after a mark, totally unfair and uncalled for, but these things happen in footy dont they. Unfortunatly poor 'Donkey Kong' copped the harsh end of the stick and spent a few hours in the hospital because of it. Tough bloke though, he'll live! Still managed a few beers later that night:D

Well Season 2006 is over and this is how the ladder finished:

WERRIBEE 15W 2L 195.21%
WESTERN MAGPIES 13W 4L 143.72%

NTH FSCRAY 9W 6L 1D 1Bye 124.42%
W.FSCRAY/SUNSHINE 10W 7L 132.82%

HOPPERS 7W 8L 2D 89.04%
WYNDHAMVALE 5W 11L 1D 83.56%

Western Magpies vs Albanvale promises to be one of the matches of the year. Both teams have beaten each other , Albanvale are in form but with the Magpies full squad back are just about the best side in the comp .. Take ya pick, the game will be Saturday 19th August 9:30 am at Yarraville!!!.

I say Western Magpies, Albanvale are nothing away from there home ground, and with a nutral venue, Western Magpies have shown they can win not only at home but also away.

A reason why the Magpies are better off at Yarraville is because its a massive ground. Albanvale have the big blokes and like to play a slow contested game, Magpies are pretty much completely the opposite they use the small blokes for a fast running continuous game. If it was on a smaller ground id say Albanvale would have to go in as favourites but because its at Yarraville its definitely gona suit the Western Magpies.

The other game is Nth Footscray vs West Footscray/Sunshine. Nth Footscray have been on a roll and are probably the inform team but West Footscray/Sunshine have beaten them twice this year... Tips?

Tips:

Nth Footscray by 20 pts
Western Magpies by 12 pts

Since When did the league swap the finals venues for the two matches, the other day it was the Qual Final at Werribee and the Elim Final at Yarraville. With the teams playing wouldn't have they had the games at the original venues, (more for travelling distance, the footscray teams at yarraville and the two others at Werribee)

albanvale only have 2 big men and jamie is a on baller runs all day he is the danger to the magpies and steve farrugia

Dont know , I agree it is stupid there was no reason to have the venues changed.. But doesnt matter both are big grounds with grandstands which is great for a finals atmosphere.

What would be the team of the year in Under 18's B division.

I suppose you will find out in a couple of weeks

Will be heading down to Chirnside Park with a few of the boys on Sunday to check out North Footscray vs. West Footscray/Sunshine. Should be a great game and hopefully a close one. Both squads have got talent, But i think North Footscray will get over the line just.

West Footscray/Sunshine will struggle to match the pace of forward thrusts from Daniel Neville and goals from Ash Peters. Garry Gath will cause a bit of trouble for WF/S been verstile and able to play Ruck, FF or FB. Michael Aspiotis will give NF that all important run out of defence and the midfield stocks of the 'Devils' should come through.

Although WF/S has Jon Blake (often seen as Wests most important player) who can fill any position coming from the Jets, he hasn't shown enough form in his Under 18 games to seem to be much of a worry for a quick North midfield. West has former 'Dragon' Robbie Roach who has come from no where to steal leading goal kicker who should provide North with a bit of trouble, but a likely scenario will see Gath go down to man him up. If Rowan Hatty can give West a few it will make things interesting. Rough half back Josh McCabe will need to find a bit of pace to match the quickness of North's forward set up but if he can get back loose and man the hole it could give West a big advantage. If Brenton Quinn plays it will be a very interesting game.

But over all North Footscray has the speed and enough tall blokes in there stocks to create a victory over a team it is yet to beat in '06.

My tip- North Footscray x 20 pts.

Falcon do you anything about Sunshine players at all ???
Brenton Quinn has played every game in the seniors this season. Also no wonder that Jon Blake hasn't been showing no form in the under 18's is because he has played in the reserves for Sunshine and has been doing quite well.

I hope both of your teams WEST FOOTCRAY N NTH FOOTSCRAY break all ya necks coz none of u's have a chance of winning the flag so go home (o(kh3@d$!! But Nth Footscray will win coz they have the pace and you West Footscray scummers suck a$$ becuase you can only just bet wyndamvale and they werent travellin to good this year!!

Love #17

Mate, do u know me? I do know about west's players as I have played Interleague with them and some of us go way back. I wasn't sure if Brenton Quinn had played true, but notice I talked about Blakey's Under 18's form, not his reserves form of which I'm sure no one in this thread gives a dam. Blakey even got beaten by Lukey Lawson, the next Anthony Koutoufides in a contest!

How bout you get off your high horse, I was only giving my opinion on the up coming game and giving something for people to read because theres hardly anything else interesting on the Under 18 B's.

Do you believe my other assesments were wrong? If so who gives a crap.

Peace!

Falcon I don't care who you play with in interleague so pumping up your own tyres and get over yourself.

Now, I was just trying to state that these players probably won't play because of their other committments within the football club. Daniel Glowaki might not be playing under 18's as well through the final due to playing seniors as well. If Jon Blake is no good then how do you rate him?

I ain't pumping no tyres, you asked a question "Do I know anything about Sunshine players?" and I simply answered it. The fact I have played Interleage was just part of the answer. There is no need to get over myself.

These players might not play, that's why I mentioned if they do it will be interesting. And about Jonathon Blake. Do I rate him? Bloody oath. I think he is an awesome player. To be on the Jets list is a fantastic achievment and for him to play a few games with them is excellent. If he players for the 18's in this weeks Elimination Final then it will make a big difference in West's chances.

I don't think West Footscray/Sunshine can win due to all their players playing elsewhere throughout their clubs. To win finals you need most of your list up and running to be any chance of the hold up the cup in September.

Totally agree and it's a shame that West U18's has had to suffer missing players to the seniors and Jets in one case. Another reason why I believe North Footscray will win on Sunday.

But If you could say i was 'supporting' someone, then West Footscray/Sunshine has my backing.

Haha get some balls FALCON you girl and throw some abuse at someone!! Its killing me you trying to be everyones friend haha. I still love ya man!!!

Love #17

Just been the responsible one haha:rolleyes: , 'throwing abuse' is not my forte' but kicking goals is ;)
