Port Adelaide captain Travis Boak warns of danger of “leading with the head’’ after Adelaide Crows’ Tom Lynch incident
PORT Adelaide captain Travis Boak has warned AFL players not to “lead with their head’’ in tackles, saying it could see them end up in a wheelchair.
Speaking after Crow Tom Lynch was stretchered from the Gabba on Sunday with his neck in a brace, Boak said anyone who ducks their head into a tackle is playing with fire.

33-year-old Sydney player Ryan O'Keefe is the face of a new campaign by Condom manufacturer Durex titled 30 Days of Nookie.
O’Keefe and wife Tara, who runs a luxury stationery boutique in Sydney, have signed up as a “celebrity couple” and will provide a daily diary of their exploits every day of September.
What next :):):).....;);) nod nod

Yeah, nah. We've had 2 good wins against fringe top-8 sides but our form before that was woeful and we're miles off being able to go interstate and win a final v a top-4 side. And LeCras is our only injured player certain to come back in the next week or 2; the rest are either done for the season or might come back very underdone for the last round.
You guys wont lose for the rest of the season

Well I guess he needs to do something given he cannot get in to the team.

The Crows took advantage? Going by today's system, wouldn't you say that the Crows (who finished 5th in 1998) having to play Melbourne (who finished 4th) at the G as a disadvantage? By today's system we'd have drawn a home final in the first week of September against Essendon, which would've been much easier than Melbourne in Melbourne.

Got beaten by Melbourne and then played a side in the Prelim that finished below the side that Melbourne had to play. That is a huge advantage in anyone's books.

Week 1 of finals: play 4th placed Melbourne at the G.
Week 2: play 3rd place Sydney at the SCG.
Week 3: play 2nd place Western Bulldogs at the G.
Week 4: play 1st place Nth Melb at the G.

Yep we had a real advantage! :p

No doubt a great effort to get through those games but you got beaten by Melbourne whose prize was playing the side that finished on top at the end of the Home and Away season in the Prelim.

:eek:all this hypothetical wins and finals positions predictions that suits us best is crazy talk, every other team in the 8 or vying for are in a lot better form then us, WINNING form is what we need, something we haven't done for 2 months, worry about winning this week before even talking about contesting finals, home finals, top 4 malarkey

That woundedcrow guy is trolling the hell out of the crows board.

He made threads saying Eddie Betts was going to kick 6 a week for the rest of the season and win the Coleman.
And Kochie is going to build "SA's Etihad Stadium" based at Alberton
No idea how he isn't banned yet haha.

I briefly saw that thread on their board yesterday. Do you happen to know who woundedcrow is?

No idea. Last time I saw a post of his (before yesterday) he was on our board a few weeks ago listed as a Port supporter.

My point being that Adelaide was given a second chance - one that wouldn't have existed today.

If the AFL directed the umpires not to pay any frees but on the contrary pay frees against players who deliberately lead with their head Aussie Rules would be a much safer game.
