Take your point. Wicks as an exception. It would be a pity not to take two IMO.

Wicks was drafted onto the Cat B rookie list. Since the Cat B list became a thing in 2012 the only NSW/International players we have drafted onto the normal rookie list have been Rampe, B.Jack, Perris and Foote.

The Cat B rookies we have taken have been: Naismith, Robinson, Mitchell (USA), Galloway, Murray, O'Riordan, Fisher, Brown, Bell, Wicks, O'Connor, Sheather and Edwards.

The Cat B list is a shot in the dark, with Wicks being the first to 50 games and you could say he has been the best player we got from this list in its 11 years of existence.

or like Bradman refusing to tour India before it was even a country or holding Test Status and North investing money from playing home matches in Tasmania in Pokies despite selling the remaining machines 4 years before they started playing games in Tasmania.

He is a habitual liar at this point
I never said North invested Tassie money in Pokies. Who is making things up now

Oh really, so explain this quote then?

The only reason they are still afloat is due to the millions in Tassie revenue, which they invested in Pokies venues.

So not only did you say they invested in Pokies venues, but you referred directly to their revenue from Tassie from which they used to invest.

So caught red-handed in a lie, trying to defend your original lie because you can't help yourself.

I do not remember saying that. As their revenue from the wasted experiment in Canberra actually funded them buying hotels & pokies.

Can see us taking Green with our first pick.
Grundy is first choice ruck. No dramas there.
Ladhams would be 2nd choice. But he is a loose cannon. Inconsistent. Unreliable. Injury prone. Not the best forward either.
Stretch has played 2 games. Skinny. But very tall. looking forward to seeing his body shape post preseason.
If Stretch progresses. If Ladhams doesn't curb his stupid stuff. Stretch goes to number 2.
If Ladhams has a good preseason and comes out and makes me look silly, then all is good. But I have lingering doubts.

If Grundy goes down for whatever reason in the next 4 years who will take over?
Next year, Ladhams. We are in a premiership window. He better be on his game.
2025. Ladhams in his last year of his contract. Stretch hopefully bulked up. Who else?

There is an argument to take Green in this years draft. Has a bit of class. Very mobile and good ruck craft. In two years he could be credible backup to Grundy. Certainly getting better. A replacement for Ladhams and credible competition for Stretch.

Just a thought.

pick 12 is a bit of a waste on Green. May is our guy imo.

I tend to agree with this as the likely outcome. My only doubt is that we may target a mature Ruck from a state league (no idea on who that may be) for the reasons rusty gave if we decide that Cabor is a better option to rookie than May long-term.
