I agree with Luey not playing that well. He is up against one of the poorest rucking teams in the comp yet getting smashed in the ruck and around the ground. Hale goes forward and looks dangerous every time with Luey trailing behind 3-5m. Needs to life his intensity.

Yeah, sounds like Goose has been pretty solid, but I was mainly scared when I heard Merrett was out because he's the guy everyone works around.

To be fair, that's Gibson's role and he does it bloody well which is why he's a problem for the opposition. Even if you drag him away he finds a way to cut back, but I do agree in theory.

Whoever is supposedly playing the loose man in defence and I suspect Adcock, is clearly not doing his job then and shouldn't matter whether Merrett is there or not.

Really, the thing to take away from this at this stage is that if we could have 15 minutes back in the third quarter, this would have been a very good effort.
