You might like to ask the IMF whether they agree with that. They identified four periods of "excessive profligacy" in our history of government since Federation, two of which were during the Howard/Costello years.

Liberals have been criminal as well in Brough's trying to bring down Slipper, and the Free Enterprise Group was illegal. $1.5M went missing from their Vic accounts, which sounds pretty illegal. Somehow I think Sinodinos is still only 'allegedly' corrupt. Here's hoping if the media focusses on this text story like they focus on anything Labor related we also get some focus on the ream of problems occuring within Liberal Party HQ and their political body.

Derryn had the donkey vote, that's our excuse. But I do like the fact he has a prison focus. It's a bit of a State issue, but there's a major problem when a key witness like Carl Williams can so easily be killed and it's not like other states have great systems. They're far too often just universities of crime.

Hinch is also pro marriage equality and voluntary euthanasia and wants action on domestic violence. He may do well, but presumably he'd give up the radio.
