Do they play the same position?
Mackay was a big part of winning us that match. Menzel battled and tried. That's all I care about.

2018 1st could be on offer?
All true until your last sentence which is your opinion, it's all you have. You have no idea how they rated their list internally.
The fact they sacked their coach for underperforming might give you a clue, that and the talent made the finals and won them a flag 2 years later. But hey, your opinion carries more weight than history.

Been thinking this - that it would be better for us to delay missing out on a first rounder by another year. We can add another to our recent crop of first rounders, we can better cover the absence of a first rounder down the track. Question is would Carlton accept this, for similar but opposite reason.
How can everything you've said be fact? It's impossible unless someone from the Bulldogs told you. Surely you're not that conceted?Well, everything I said was fact.
Your opinion is "they just finished 14th, had their captain abandon them and sacked their coach. They must think they're primed for a flag and need someone to tip them across the line. I know, let's get a 20 year old who's barely played but was a top rated junior!"
Literally nothing you've said on this matter makes sense.

Would Gibbs play for Port? What if a bidding war broke out? I'm confident we wi t overpay for him but it'd be nice to get Port to overpay.

Port have already given up their 1st rounder for next year & need to replenish their team.Would Gibbs play for Port? What if a bidding war broke out? I'm confident we wi t overpay for him but it'd be nice to get Port to overpay.
They finished 14th.
They had their captain, who was under contact, quit their club and demand to be traded.
They sacked their coach.
They traded for a 20 year old who had hardly played but showed lots of potential for the future.
Which of those aren't facts?
EC - you are a funny one for running with an argument WAY past where you're still making your point. Occasionally, just say "I see what you're saying, other poster, but I disagree" - and let it go. Pursuing arguments way past the point where you can be "right" must be exhausting.
Gibbs for Lobbe. Done! [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]Port have already given up their 1st rounder for next year & need to replenish their team.
I can only see them trading in Gibbs if they trade out someone like Hartlett or Lobbe.
Port don't have a first rounder this year, would be treading dangerous territory again by trading out of the draft for 2 years in a row.Would Gibbs play for Port? What if a bidding war broke out? I'm confident we wi t overpay for him but it'd be nice to get Port to overpay.
Officially their coach quit, but otherwise all true. He quit after Cooney, Griffin and Higgins had jumped ship.
So is that what you do?They finished 14th.

You mean the one post I made which thanked you for your work but pointed out your logic was flawed and then you agreed with me? I thought that was a good time to let it go.Have you already forgotten when you did fifty posts shouting me down about the number of votes Labor receives, then I spend three hours collating the results of the most recent five elections in every state (and commonwealth) that showed that the point I was making was correct? And you then made one post and never mentioned it again?
Post facts. If you're just arguing opinion and not facts, every post after the second one is pointless because it just people butting opinions and nothing else is being added.
sounds good, but dont think carlton would take 30 and 31ish for gibbs (assuming we both finish top 6)I think we trade our first to Geelong for Carlton's and their second. I think we trade the AFC and Geelong seconds to Carlton for Gibbs. We keep the Carlton second.

As for posting facts, you posted they got Boyd as they thought they were 5 years from competing. How is that possibly a fact? It's not. You don't know how internally they rated their list. They made the finals the following year and the year after won the GF with Boyd playing a big part. Those are the facts, not your opinion.
Now will you accept that and move on?
As for my running debate with pdub, I again spoke facts, Mackay played one good qtr. I then had to argue that an imaginary cooling role didn't exist, which it didnt.
