I started watching some documentary the other day that discussed how Hafez al Assad, who had been trying to create a more unified Middle-East, was basically screwed over by Kissinger, which led to Syrian-American hostilities. Polls influence behaviour. Not a surprise Senators from the GOP feel empowered to tell Trump to go **** himself on his agenda items when he's underwater in terms of popular opinion. They would all fall in line if he was well liked.

I'll happily say that i don't agree with John McCain on much politically, and think he has been vindictive and nasty on occasion when he hasn't gotten his way, and how he treated his first wife was disgusting, but i wish him well and hope for a recovery.
