Watts has as many up as he has down sides. Skilled user of the ball but does not always out his head over the ball when it is his turn. We already have enough players who shirk the hard ball.

I would rather we went all out for the Gaffer.

lol@collscum... Watts would join a long list of 'boom' forwards the Scumbos have recruited from other clubs. That pantheon already includes QStick, Mayne and of course the great White No Hope.

I am starting to think Watts will stay in Melbourne and go COllingwood, re-reading all the comments about uplifting his life. Could be a very quiet trade period again.

Another left of field. Late pick for Ryan Griffen+make GWS pay some of his salary? Could be a good recruit. He's tad old so not much value, injuries have reduced his value but could be a valuable addition. He doesn't have to move much, contested ball, good work rate. Only real issues is injuries.

Any interest?
I would be interested if it involves giving away stuff all. Though given gws will lose kennedy and smith they may want to hold onto him.

Saints have had a chat with Talia.
I posted a few weeks ago that St Scum officials were in Sydney and talking to a couple of our players , Marsh being one I knew about and obviously Talia. Talia and Carlisle will get on well in the toilets.

Gaff's an impressive player when running forward but it's all one way imo. Do we honestly want someone that when the usual suspects go missing or the games not played on our merit, isn't putting in the hard yards defensively

Gaff , will NOT be coming to Sydney.

I was confident on Watts until a Melbourne based club got interested. I can definitely see him in the white and black stripes next year

I get the feeling we may have cooled on him if his attitude wasn't right for moving interstate.

He'll be perfect for them I reckon.
I don't know why the need him to be honest. They have fantasia & Tippa who play similar roles. Especially if Stringer nominates them as well, I'd think they would be better of getting in a quality mid.

On another note, Essendon will be holding up trade week quite a bit with the Doro dealing for Stringer, Smith & maybe Saad.

I'm on the "Smith can be a solid mid" bandwagon so think he'd fit in & around that Essendon group well. They have big Joe clunking marks and the rest buzzing about ala the Dogs & Richmonds successful model.

I'd like Watts to come to the Swans - maybe Watts should have a chat with Lance re living in a fishbowl in Melbourne vs. Sydney
