Calm down, he said nothing about the Good Friday appeal or the importance of it. He simply pointed out that North, isn’t the correct club to carry the day & make the game into a blockbuster
He compared it to anzac day and said noone cares about the good friday game. Learn to read, champion.

Man remember the good match last year and how it was a success? I know the bulldogs are bad at the moment but bulldogs and north would of been a better match. Weren’t Carlton a rumoured team to play on Good Friday too? North/Carlton or Bulldogs/Carlton would of been better choices. St Kilda is such a bad choice.

10,000 more attended the game last year, why is that?
More of a north-dog rivalry, well, we usually have good games against each other anyway, so plenty from both clubs and neutrals came out. I would still love to have the dogs on Good Friday, even if it is on a rotational basis.

St Kilda have had many dark days since the departure of Ross Lyon...

This would have to be way up there.

Pressure & skills equally abysmal. North deserved to win big but that margin would've hit triple figures had they played a finals bound opponent.

It’s been a poor build list wise. Not nearly enough quality through the midfield.
our best young mid was sent to sandy as richo preferred to play journeyman koby stevens as a tagger last week against zorko, then left him in again this week. god knows why. dunstan was our best player against north last year and best over our last 6 games last year. got 36 disposals this week. headscratcher. but that's richo.

Just over 33K for a game on a public holiday when there is nothing else to do is just not good enough. Poor effort by both supporter groups.

Subjective opinion, many Victorians continue the tradition to spend all day collecting on behalf of the RCH appeal, donating their day to charities/volunteer organisations or spending time with family. It might take a few years yet for Good Friday footy to really kick off IMO

Saints are a worry. We let them score 60 points against us via our unforced turnovers despite winning contested ball, smashing them in clearances and having the ball spent in our forward half for longer.

Then they come out and get a 52 point flogging by a North side widely tipped to finish last. I'd be worried if I was a St Kilda fan.

That and the saints being heavy favourites, north’s form and season predictions would have put people off, plus it wasn’t its first year, so the novelty wasn’t there for neutrals.

Everyone who saw that.

Spot on.

Anyone looking to sink a boot in after these first two years is kidding themselves.

Huge money went to the kids today.
