No leggie with Wareham missing out, but two left-armers to spin it away from the right-hander oughtta get the job done. Kinda wanted to see us bowl since it's where all the action has been in the series so far, but can't complain about batting first and it allows the three debutants to ease their way into it.

Love watching Healy bat, she is always very attacking and looks to take it up to the bowlers. Also very expressive when she gets a good ball or hits an unusual/lucky shot.

Quickly becoming in danger of a 12th Man sketch for England with Ecclestone hurting her shoulder and Brunt's apparent nagging ankle. They do have plenty of options however (for now). Gordon looks real average at first glance, took a stack of wickets in the warm-up match though so she might've been thrown off a bit by her sudden intro to the attack.

Ecclestone unlucky with a few LBW appeals turned down, could easily have gone other way. No DRS in place didn’t help

Sticky situation for England, patience got them a couple of breakthroughs but time is as much an enemy as runs in what is a must-win 4-day match for them. Probably gone overboard with the spin when historically Shrubsole and Sciver are their best tide-turning bets.

And now with a bigger sample to draw from: roughly two balls per over misses the mark, and not by a small margin. Has created chances, thanks in part to the pitch and certainly some admirable persistence, but has just bowled too much crap for this level. Wouldn't be anywhere near international selection if she was Australian, based on today.

only 1 over too late for the new ball. this should make things more interesting ,but having both Perry and Haynes looking very solid out there, they'll have to get some movement off the seam to get them out, you'd think.

Shrubsole did look good in that first new ball over with a maiden and some swing and seam movement

Finally bowled fuller. Commentators complaining about lack of swing but they are bowling back of a good length. Got to bowl a good foot fuller.

and again the girls bowl 100 overs in the time the guys usually take to bowl about 80-85 overs.

quite happy with 265-3 after a day of cricket. Needs to be a 5-dayer, imho, unless the pitch falls apart on day 3.
