Cats would know I guess
I'm sure every club would know. We've cut it to pieces already this year minus only Riewoldt of any significance and importance to your side imo.

We'll show you how to get the job done without stars like we did in round 21, 2017.

We certainly won't be using the injury or suspension excuse like you guys did this year.

Now before I go ... what will your excuse be this time around? Just so we're all pre-warned.

Butler out? Higgins out? Chol playing VFL? Weather? Umpires? The flu? Which one?

You don’t think the quality of the players executing the plan is relevant?

You are delirious
Not in Richmond's case. Those guys you had out are all role players besides Riewoldt and Nankervis (who is ordinary anyway) The rest are average if taken on ability.

Your system is pretty straight forward.

Actually you did corrupt the crowd. There's a screenshot somewhere of the individuals running your social media pages with blood on their hands. Dirty, desperate and shameful.

Richmond will be hoping Geelong choke and don't show up this weekend. They're not a chance against a in-form Geelong with an injured Rance (Hawkins aside). Geelong faced virtually the same team earlier in the year and obliterated them.
Virtually the same Richmond team? You might wanna do a bit of research to check that.

So what you are saying is Hawkins is no good anyway and easily replaced?
Hawkins can't lead because of the back injury he suffered in the St.kilda game that has been kept quiet. That plays into Richmond's hands.

Ratugolea, Dangerfield and Taylor are more mobile and force one of one defense which makes us more dangerous. With Hawkins teams know they can play an extra defender on him because he is generally our only target going forward. We're too Hawkins focused at times. When one one one he's the most dangerous forward in the comp but our system in the last half of the year hasn't really suited him anyway. Now we're more unpredictable and have more options. It makes it hard for Richmond to double team now and gives us more aerial prowess.

Richmond is one side Hawkins can afford to miss against because your midfield isn't as strong as the other contenders. Against Collingwood or GWS we need Danger in the middle.

Richmond's system hasn't changed so it is relevant. Replacing role players with role players doesn't change that.
You are correct in theory, however practice is a different case. While our depth had covered injuries very well for most of the period before the bye, it was clear by this point they were out on their feet. The loss to you was bordered by a pair of comfortable losses to North (who had just sacked the coach), and Adelaide. We were also missing key pillars, not simply ‘role players’

Even without looking at an explanation, I think it’s clear our form that has lead to 10 consecutive wins is vastly different to that of 3 consecutive comfortable losses.

So really Hawkins being suspended saved Scott from dropping him?

Geelong have worked out that a few Richmond players cheat out the back and rely on the surge mentality and teammates winning the ball which is why they found it difficult to score earlier this year. They didn't allow them the space and time to surge forward.

Geelong will strangle them again.

Just how are they 'cheating'?
What rule are they breaking?

Taylor forward Henderson in to play back.

Dangerfield predominantly forward.

Makes us more dangerous.
Although I don't think Geelong are "better" without Hawkins, that would really be an indictment on him if a team is actually a better team without him....

I do however think Geelong are a lot more unpredictable without him, and that makes it harder for us to plan for their forward line. You can't plan against things you haven't considered, and if Geelong do something different, it could pay off if we aren't ready for it or don't have the match up.

Hawkins is a good player, but he's a gorilla, a mark and kick player. It's predictable what he's going to offer, and someone like Astbury would be comfortable with that matchup because he knows what he's in for. Not so now if he is forced to play on a quicker more agile opponent.

Crowd split 58k Tigers 36k Cats?
Maybe, and from the 2017 QF it was clear the average tiger fan was also 1.5x louder and cruder than the average cat fan.

But since that game the tigers have tasted the ultimate so the desperation in the crowd might be more even..

Can you blokes seriously cut the excuses. It's tedious. If you're not willing to discuss the game like an adult then don't bother posting.

A few of your mids and forwards inc Martin cheat out the back of the contest. Geelong cut their supply with pressure and made them accountable. It had nothing to do with your back 6 or apparent lack of personnel.

Excuses? Your club perfected the concept.

The tweet cats from the RFC was a piss take, not cheating. Not our fault your supporters did not buy tickets haha
Cats could only get a pathetic 51k to a semi final against last years Premiers, and they have tge temerity to accuse Richmond of denying them seats.
