Bevo not holding back on his thoughts of GWS' tactics in our recent elimination final with them. Clearly not happy

Loved it. Bevo calling them out for the MMA grubs they are.

He was subtle enough without it looking like whinging. Just a bit of a dig. Hopefully we bring the shovels to our rematch next year.

Some people cant be pleased, we wanted the club to "out the dirty tactics by the plastics" finally Bevo has.
What annoyed me as a an impartial viewer to last weeks game was the one of the assistant coaches in the Plastic box after their win giving the "up your's"
arm gesture and reading his lips "F*&K YOU" not a good look for the game or the young kids sitting around the box from Collingwood or on the telly.
If it was a player they would be crucified.

Dusty was recently fined for pulling the finger at opposition fans.

An assistant coach does far worse in the coaches box, and the AFL posts the video online and has a giggle at it. Wonder if it would've been the same had it been a coach from a non-expansion club?

Amon Buchanan. Yeah, I had to look him up as well.

Just an angry dwarf. Fits in beautifully with their ‘culture’.

Just watched it. Thought it was in the spirit of the humour of the show. And to be honest it was only a comment on what the GWS themselves have stated is their differential during the finals. I thought he was in good form humour wise the whole time he was on. It’s hardly a Lost Dogs Home poster moment.

I was a bit disappointed in Bevo for this. It is fair enough to be upset at GWS tactics but to do it through the media looks like whinging. Give Cameron a call , have a strong word at the next coaches meeting or better still just make sure the boys win the next encounter. But doing it through the media- not cool.

Lighten up

Sorry to intrude but after watching Bevo seething last night on the front bar, I'm looking forward to next years match between the Doggies and GWS.

There is going to be fireworks and some sore GWS players after the match.

Go Dogs lol
Hopefully some sore GWS players after the grand final too. Praying for an absolute slaughter, and for Houli to get his Norm Smith <3

Would of thought you would be too nervous/excited tomorrow than to worry about a H&A game between two opposition team next year.

Hope you win tomorrow and enjoy the day.

Go Tiges! Smash that scratchy bloke lol - most of us are friendly foe here this weekend. As you can probably tell of our hatred for the plastics

Loved what Bevo had to say. It shows that we'll learn our lesson and we'll come out firing next year.

Go dogs.

RETIRED Western Bulldogs premiership hero Tom Boyd has given a fascinating insight into why his career ended far sooner than expected, saying there were far more significant factors than his mental health.

When he stunned the football world by ending his career in May, when he was just 23, Boyd said he wasn't battling mental health issues.

"There was a 250-word statement put out from me, and there was one line about mental health, and in that line was physical health as well, but that was all that got extrapolated from that statement. That's not surprising," Boyd told westernbulldogs.com.au.

"Maybe I'd wished I'd changed it but ultimately, I think that's where the media were going to land regardless.

"I wasn't having issues with mental health at this time. I was significantly physically unable because of my lack of pre-season and lack of desire to do the things I needed to do to perform at a high level, and that led me to being a hell of a long way to being back to playing my best footy, and I didn't feel like I wanted to get back there.

"For a long period of time, I hadn't enjoyed it, and I tried to change a lot of stuff.

"There's always that great quote from Einstein about what's the definition of insanity, doing the same thing and expecting different results, and at some point, I got to the stage where I was like 'It's not fair me going home to (girlfriend) Anna three out of four days not happy with footy. It's just not fair.'"

Boyd was drafted with the first overall selection in the 2013 NAB AFL Draft and was tipped to be a pillar of Greater Western Sydney's forward line in due time.

However, he sought a trade to the Dogs after one season, and put in a phenomenal display in the 2016 flag as the Dogs broke a 62-year premiership drought.

In July the following season, he took an indefinite break from football to receive treatment for depression, and just over a year later suffered a back injury that eventually ended his career.

He booted 50 goals in a career that spanned 61 games.

Calling out the clickbait media. Love it.

He’s smarter than most, if not all, in the media.

Very brave. Fascinating interview.

I have got to hear and feel I know more about Tom Boyd since he has retired than when he was playing.

Apart from missing him out on the field I now miss him more for what he brings in terms of his thoughts etc.

More I hear from him the more of a loss he is.
