Are we going to pretend Heath Shaw wouldn't of been in our best 22 all season just because he's the coaches brother.

Being best 22 doesn’t mean much when the team is ordinary.

Needs to be five years plus to beat saints and gws upped to four and you would think need to be 600k plus too a lot of money

If he's got the talent then why not?

Need to use the PSD to full extent. Blues set a precedent. It could be trending that way, and in years to come we look back at a missed opportunity.

It's a top draft pick that we pluck out of nowhere.

Rawlings gambled our 2019 first purely to pick up an extra pick that ended up at around 30.

So that tells us they are desperate to increase the quantity, not just the quality of the recruits.

Here's an avenue to recruit that only costs cap space, i would hope they'd be going hard, but there's obviously plenty of factors at play.

No way are we getting Heath Shaw!
It is completely against what we are doing. We have Tarrant, McDonald & now Corr to lead the backline.. plenty of experience.
He is past it... his body looks banged up, his form has been average at best in a very disappointing team this year & he will be ****** 35!!
We are pretty well stocked for experienced heads, even with the big cull. Big Fat No!!

I couldn't agree more except to add that we also have Atley on the backline and if required Josh Walker. We have just delisted 3 experienced defenders: Williams, JMac and Pittard to make space to play our young defenders like Perez, Hayden and Bonar. Why on earth would we want to bring in a 35 year old for experience?

Fact or fiction tazaa

Fact.
Theyre desperate. Carlton matched Dodos deal and offered 700 over 4 aswell so * then added on an extra year.
He is going nowhere. Dodoro wont let him leave.

Honestly mindboggling Robbo sees the logic in this one first.

What is evidently clear in the cull is this club lacks STANDARDS. We have blokes mouthing off at the coach, complaining where they think they should play and a shitload of blokes who spent their careers dicking around and playing for the next contract.

Most of the blokes we cut couldn't show leadership in the crunch. They were soft. Heath would add some bastard to the joint and will scald them on field on behalf of his brother.

They are going to get flogged in pre-season, utterly murdered. And good, because it's been a long time coming.

It might not be Rhyce holding the cup, but North needs another tyrant. How do you think Pagan or RB would've handled Polec or Brown? Jesus they would have killed them. Trading them is the easy way out.

We don’t know whether we have Corr.

Wow. Up to $3.5M

Adam Saad has morphed into David Dench in little over a week.
* thought he was worth 2.8m
We thought he was worth 4.25m
Carlton came to the the table with 3m
* added on the extra year to make it 3.5m

Half backs with speed and ball use are worth that in the modern game apparently. Things change

Didn't seem to have much of an effect at this Giants this year.

Better option than Xerri IMHO as he is more of a forward who can ruck. Still not sure why we are getting rid of our existing 2m goal kicking forward though.

Can't ruck? Costs a lot? Questions over body? Good trade value? ........ dunno, but a big decision that a lot of thought would have gone into, that hopefully helps set the club up for success over the duration.

Pagan wouldn’t have had Polec tagging, and he would have had a game plan that benefitted our key forward.

He had 6 disposal in the game where we outmongroled GWS.

If we recruit Heath Shaw I'll just about give up.

He's finished as a player, always known as trouble (hence Buckley got rid of him), yet we should get him?

Seriously. Are we that desperate?
